Rose quickly opened her eyes, finding that she had rolled on the floor. As she tried to contemplate about what had just happened, Bilbo crashed through the door, startling Rose. "Oh dear!" He quickly rushed to her side and helped her up. She gave him a small smile, but Bilbo looked concerned. "What happened? You were yelling and screaming!" She stood up, feeling bad that she had scared Bilbo. "I am sorry, Bilbo. Just...Just a dream." Bilbo calmed down, taking her hand. "Well...if this makes you feel better, I had just finished preparing supper and some tea. I guess that you fell asleep while waiting."
They walked through the hall and to the kitchen. Bilbo pointed to a small table with two benches for chairs. "Here. You may sit in any chair you like. I'll get our food." Bilbo said kindly Rose walked over to the table and sat in the middle.
After a while of fiddling with her necklace, Bilbo walked into the room, hands full. He carried 2 large plates, a large teapot, 2 cups, and a small bundle of forks and knives. He happily sat across from Rose and set out the plates and cups. He place the teapot between the cups, leaned back in his chair, giving out a sigh. Rose looked down at her food, feeling so hungry that he could eat every single crumb.
"Ah. I apologize for taking a while," Bilbo watched as Rose eagerly poured tea in her cup, picked up her fork, and began to wolf down the potatoes, peas, and fish. Bilbo watched in surprise as Rose stuffed her mouth with no manners at all, even gulping down the tea. Bilbo chuckled. "It seems that you have quite the appetite." She suddenly stopped eating and looked up. "Oh," She grabbed her napkin and wiped her face. She laughed and shook her head. "Sorry. I hadn't eaten in days, you're cooking made me very hungry, and your tea is amazing." She looked down at his food. "Bilbo? You didn't eat a single bite." Bilbo looked at his plate. "Oh? I was just a bit... I mean, I will eat my foo-" A loud knock had interrupted Bilbo. He looked up at Rose with a slightly puzzled look. "Who would be knocking at my door at this hour?" Rose picked up her fork and ate a pea. "Too loud to be a hobbit...sounds like a dwarf. Do you know any dwarves?" Bilbo suddenly had a bad feeling. "Um...Rose?" She got up to answer the door. "Yes, Bilbo?" Bilbo got up as well, walking towards Rose. "I met Gandalf the Grey earlier today. He said something about informing the others." Gandalf the Grey? Mithrandir? Rose quickly ran to the door, not wanting to keep the person waiting.
Rose opened the door, waiting to see who it was. A large bald dwarf, with many battle scars and tattoos, was waiting at the door. He held an axe, and Bilbo walked up from behind Rose wearing a robe. The dwarf bowed at Bilbo. "Dwalin, at your service." Bilbo quickly tightened his robe belt, clearing his throat. "Erm...Bilbo Baggins at yours."
