40. MY HEART WAS MADE FOR YOU
"ARE WE NOT GOING to discuss Cedric's fear in Dark Arts?" Silas asked as he, Cedric, Alex, and the Weasley twins walked through the hallway right after class.
"No." Cedric answered, rolling his eyes.
"I think we should." Alex smirked, signing.
"Diggory!" The boy turned around to see the de Oro brothers walking towards him. Tobi spoke, "So, your biggest fear is losing my sister?"
"Maybe." Cedric shrugged.
"Oh, please— Those light brown eyes disappearing? The girl walking away with another boy that isn't you?" Teo teased with a smirk. "And we all know you love my sister's golden eyes."
"I care about your sister, Teo! Why are you surprised?" Cedric exclaimed, his patience growing thin. "We all know I've loved her since fucking first year!"
"Woah." Fred and George gasped in unison, mischievous grins on their faces. Meanwhile, the three de Oro boys had appalled looks on their faces, glancing at each other.
"You love her?" Tommy asked, his eyes wide and his voice tense.
"I do, Tommy," Cedric whispered, nodding his head. "More then anything, obviously. Hell mate, my greatest fear is losing that girl."
"So nobody was recording that?" Fred questioned. "No one? So that way we could've just shown Thea and you two could finally get together."
"We've been waiting five years." George sighed.
Ignoring the twins, Teo grabbed Cedric's shoulder. "Diggory— Cedric, tell my sister. Please."
"I can't—"
"Yes, you can!" Tobi raised his voice. "Thea has been fawning over you for five years! It was always you for her."
"At that first party in like third year, when you were talking to that Gryffindor girl, she was heartbroken," Teo explained. "And then she had to kiss you for spin the bottle."
"That was kiss was perfect to her," Tommy admitted with a smile. "She told me. Cedric, that was her first kiss, and it was you."
"What?" Cedric turned to him, his eyes wide. "That was her first kiss? The stupid spin the bottle kiss?"
"It wasn't stupid to her." Tommy answered. "But yeah."
"It wasn't stupid to me either, Tommy! It was first time I kissed the girl I love!" Cedric spoke, running a hand through his hair. "Oh my god."
"How can you genuinely not see it before?" Tobi asked, shaking his head. "Cedric, she always trusted you. She always wanted to go to you when she was talking to no one! Summers were shit for her because you weren't around, you were always traveling with your family!"
