51. THE THREE
UNFORGIVABLE CURSES

"MY DAD WROTE TO me yesterday," Cedric told Thea excitedly as the two of them walked to the transfiguration classroom the next day. Fred, George, and Wesley all walked behind them, joking around behind the couple. "He encouraged me to enter the tournament."

"And your mom?" Thea questioned softly, not daring to make eye contact with her boyfriend. She really didn't want him to enter the competition. She didn't want any of her loved ones too. Tobi and Teo wanted to, but there was very little chance that Thea and Tommy would allow that. The Weasley twins also wanted to enter, but they were not of age yet and won't be till next year.

"Dad says she's a bit worried, but she's not against it." Cedric replied, glancing at his girlfriend. Why won't she look at him? "Thea?"

"Yeah?" Thea called, her eyes still on her shoes. She felt Cedric hold her arm, pulling her to the side of the hallway and allowing their friends to walk in front of them.

"My love, look at me, please." Cedric whispered before gently grabbing the girl's chin with his hand, forcing her to look up at him. Thea's eyes widened, blush rushing up to her cheeks when she finally met his eyes. God, he was perfect. (And so hot.)

"I literally love you." Thea mumbled.

"I love you more." He mumbled back, pecking her lips with a kiss. Cedric didn't let go of her chin, not allowing her to break eye contact. "So what's going on?"

"I think the tournament is dangerous and fucking terrifying and people have died in it," Thea admitted, letting out a shaky breath. "I don't want you to enter. I don't want you to put yourself in that kind of danger, but I know you want to-- So, I'm just struggling because I kind of don't want the love of my life to die."

Letting out a sigh, Cedric pulled the girl into a hug. He cupped the back of her head with his hand, allowing his nose to be buried in her hair. Closing his eyes for a moment, Cedric whispered, "I love you, and I'm not going to die."

"Ced, you don't know--"

"Thea, I'm not going to die," Cedric cut his girlfriend's words off as soon as he saw tears in his girlfriend's eyes. "We don't even know if I'll get chosen. There's very little chance that I do. If I do, then we work through it from there. But I'm not going to die. We're going to finish this year, and the year after. We're going to finish Hogwarts, and then I'm going to marry you. Then we're going to have a bunch of beautiful children and live happily ever after just like we've always wanted."

Holding back tears, Thea shoved her face into her boyfriend's neck again, hugging him tightly. He truly was perfect. He knew what he wanted, and he wanted her.

"Sunny! We're going to be late!" The couple heard Fred call down the hallway and Thea and Cedric ran down the hallway.

"Alright, Fred, George, take care of my girl," Cedric joked. The Weasley twins rolled their eyes but nodded.
