50. THE TRI-WIZARD
TOURNAMENT

"ITS GETTING WORST." Emanuel said frantically as he paced the kitchen of the Lupin house. It was early in the morning, and the students would be returning to Hogwarts today. The train was leaving in a few hours.

"What? Thea's powers or the whole you-know-who situation?" Remus asked, offering the man a cup of tea before sitting at the table with Sirius and Valencia.

"Both!" Emanuel exclaimed before running his hands over his face. "She can't control it. Her eyes turn gold whenever she's scared, angry, upset— Sometimes when she's too happy her eyes turn gold!"

"Why is this such a bad thing?" Valencia wondered, taking a sip of her coffee.

"It's a clear sign that she is who she is. A de Oro, one of the Golden Four, Alejandra de Oro's daughter," Sirius explained and both Emanuel and Remus nodded. "It makes her a target for death eaters, which the chance is becoming higher and higher with the rise of death eaters and these attacks. It just shows the kind of power she has."

"She has to learn how to control it." Emanuel whispered.

"Teach her, she'll listen to you." Remus told him softly.

"I don't know how! Alex was supposed to teach her! She had this same kind of power; every female witch of the de Oro bloodline does. It's legacy. I don't know how to deal with this. She had all this power in her small body and she doesn't know how to control it." Emanuel rambled, letting out a sigh. "That's why she's always been able to do these crazy spells and magic has come easy for her. I need Alex for this."

Valencia tried to hold back tears before leaning her head on Emanuel's shoulder, wrapping him in a hug. "I know, but you can do this. So can Thea, she's learning. On the bright side, this means you're raising a powerful and incredible witch of a daughter."

"They're all incredible, Flame," Remus smiled before glancing at Valencia and Sirius. "Every teacher has reached out to him about Tommy, he's picking up every material quickly. They're running out of stuff to teach him. Everything is too easy for him, he's too smart! Dumbledore told us he could have finished Hogwarts this year if he wanted to, but Tommy chose to stay for 6th and 7th year to be with his siblings and Eva."

"God, he's so smart. Too smart," Emanuel sighed happily, letting out a soft laugh. "Dumbledore said he's the smartest student he's ever seen. Says Tommy is writing spells! He's almost 17, and he's writing spells. And Hooch thinks Tobi has a future in Quidditch, like professionally. She says he's one the best she's ever seen, and he's captain this year."

"And Teo wants to be an Auror. He's already looking at programs and reaching out of them. When I spoke to Dumbledore last year, he's said he's perfect for it," Remus added with a grin and turned to Emanuel. "Look at you, you're raising some incredible kids."
