33. GHOSTS OF
CHRISTMAS'S WHATEVER

TRIGGER WARNING: mentions of abuse, suicide and self harm.

IN ALL HONESTY, Evanora Saito had a very shitty life. As you could have guessed, Eva's parents favorite pastime was beating their daughter. So, our girl hasn't had it easy since the beginning. Abusive parents, only child, and then Muggleborn.

Being a Muggleborn sucks on both sides. On the Wizarding side, the purebloods make fun of you for your blood status. On the Muggle side, your family thinks you're a freak— And having the whole abusive parents thing didn't help. To Eva's parents, her magical abilities were just another reason to beat their daughter.

Not only was her home life shitty, so was her before Hogwarts school life. Shy, book-worm Eva wasn't exactly popular among her peers. So she took crap, bullying, at home and at school.

But it seemed as though the universe had sent her a sign when her Hogwarts letter arrived in the mail. It didn't take much convincing for Eva's parents to elt her go, they were glad to have her away. They gave her the money she needed and sent her off.

And then the universe gave her another sign. In Eva's opinion, it was more of a guardian angel, and his name was Thomas de Oro. He came into the picture, and all of sudden, Eva's life was less shitty.

Tommy and Eva began attached by the hip quickly, and fell for each other just as quickly— But they were young of course, they still are— So it took a little while to realize that.

But then they kissed three days ago.

Thankfully Tommy decided to save Eva from some major anxiety, and he asked her to be his girlfriend the day after the kiss. Now to Eva, life was very much not shitty.

She stood next to Tommy in one of the halls, in a crowd of all their friends and other students. He glanced at her and grinned before slipping his hand into hers. A smile graced Eva's lips and blush spread across her cheeks.

A large stage was set and Professor Lockhart strutted across the stage. Thea covered her mouth to hold back her laugh and Louis nudged her. She glanced up at him and shrugged in defense while the blond boy smirked.

"It's a stage, not a runway, showboy." Teo mumbled, making Flynn, who stood next to the de Oro, chuckle. Teo held back a smirk but didn't glance at the Ravenclaw. The two still haven't spoke since the weekend, and Teo still hasn't gotten the image of the werewolf out of his head.

Fred and George didn't bother holding back their laughs. The twins raised their hands, preparing to whistle but Thea grabbed both of their arms, giving them a look. Fred scoffed, "You were laughing too, Sunny."

"Well, yeah, I have a sense of humor." Thea shrugged. "But if you two whistle, I think we'll definitely get in trouble."

"Correct." Eva and Tommy agreed in unison, the couple smiling at each other.
