56. A NOT HEARTBROKEN HALLOWEEN
RAIN DROPS CLASHED against the ground and softly on Thea's skin that wasn't covered by her cloak as the girl walked behind a group of her friends. Her eyes were on Cedric, who tightly held a piece of parchment with his name scribbled on if. Silas, Micah, Alex, Wesley, her brothers, Ashton, and the Wealsey twins all followed him, shouting excitedly while some held pieces of parchment in their own hands. Thea could feel her heart race faster and faster and her anxiety growing in her chest just at the though of Cedric putting his name in the Goblet. So many of her friends wanted to put their names in, so did her brothers (She wasn't letting that happen though)
The girl was brought back to reality when she felt the absence of drops of rain hitting against her skin. She glanced up, seeing Eva cover the two of them with an umbrella. Next to them were Noelia and Poppy, who were squeezed under their own umbrella.
Giving Eva a tight-lipped smile, Thea spoke shakily, "Thanks, Ev."
"Always," Eva nodded and placed her free hand on Thea's shoulder. "Tea, don't stress, okay? He's just putting his name in the Goblet, remember? There's very little chance he'll actually get chosen."
"Yeah, you're right," Thea let out an anxious breath, nodding her head. "I'm just stressed anyways. Literally all of them want to enter, Cedric, my brothers, the twins—"
"Tommy thought about it, but I talked him out of it." Eva smirked proudly.
"I heard Flynn tell Teo that if he even puts his name in that Goblet, he won't let Teo closer then 6 feet away from him." Noelia added, letting out a laugh.
"Good," Thea giggled and nodded her head. "I know there's no talking 'Tobi the warrior' out of this. He's hoping he'll get chosen."
"He's crazy." Poppy scoffed as the large group of friends walked into the hall where the Goblet was being displayed. As they arrived, Victor Krum was submitting his name into the Goblet. After Xander went, then it was Griffin's turn, and then Rome's. When he walked up to the Goblet, Rome's eyes landed on Poppy. He gave her a wink before submitting his piece of parchment and blush rushed up to Poppy's cheeks.
Eva, Noelia, and Thea all turned their heads towards Poppy, who just grinned with a shrug. "We're going out a bit, okay? And making out a lot."
"Love!" Cedric called and Thea gave her three friends a nervous smile before walking over to her boyfriend's side.
"Hi." Thea whispered, looking up at her boyfriend and he could immediately tell she was anxious.
He slipped his hand into hers before kissing the top of her hand softly. Cedric gave her an assured look, "It'll be okay. I promise."
Nodding her head, Thea let go of Cedric's hand as Micah and Silas grabbed her boyfriend. The boys behind them began to shout and cheer, "Come on, Cedric!" "Put it in!"
