your experience at the café today was rather weird.
while you, tomo, yoimiya, and itto had been eating at one of the tables, a certain individual walked into the café.
and you recognized his navy hair immediately. it was scaramouche. why was he here? you were yet to find out.
but when he sat down at a table and told xiao his order, you assumed he was here to just grab a quick snack with no other intentions.
once xiao brought him his order, which you noticed was a coffee and a donut, he began eating.
you couldn't quite figure out if he really was here to just eat. but nonetheless, you decided to not focus on it for too long.
so you returned your attention back to your friends as well as your food.
meanwhile, kazuha and heizou had noticed scaramouche's sudden presence as well. the two chose to remain cautious.
but the often hostile ceo seemed to be minding his own business today. to everyone's relief.
"say, why is he here?" tomo whispered to you. "how should i know."
you glanced at kazuha, who didn't seem to be too bothered by him. perhaps you shouldn't be worrying either.
after some time had passed, kazuha and heizou walked on over to your table, both grabbing a chair from an empty table and taking a seat.
and their eyes seemed to be fixed on scaramouche too. heizou leaned his head against one of his hands. "first time he came all the way to this café just to eat," he pointed out.
tomo nodded, "still weird though." the rest of you remained silent.
once scaramouche had finished eating, kazuha decided to go by his table to ask if he wanted anything else.
but scaramouche said nothing in response and only stared aimlessly out the window.
as kazuha felt the awkward silence slowly consuming him, he turned around to leave, until scaramouche finally chose to say something. "you seem happy with your friends."
"huh?" while glancing back at him, kazuha looked at the man with a perplexed expression.
"it must be nice having close companions whom you can always rely upon. people who'd never betray you," he continued.
kazuha seemed to be getting one surprise after another when it came to this man.
what in the world happened for him to suddenly become so much calmer? did kazuha's words really affect him? or was this just an act? did he have other motives in mind? did he want kazuha to lower his guard?
