"aye y/n. it's been awhile."
you stood there wide eyed, as the others watched in confusion.
"aniki, what the hell are you doing here?" you uttered in genuine bewilderment. aniki is what you often called your older brother.
he looked at you with a straight face before breaking into a smile. "you should be happy to see me after so long, the hell."
"y/n, who is that?" kazuha asked, with the other two quietly spectating.
"uhh that's my brother, i guess."
your brother immediately deadpanned. "bitch what do you mean you guess? is this how you treat your older brother?"
you tilted your head sideways. "ok but why did you suddenly decide to show up? weren't you traveling for work? how did you even find out where i was? and why didn't you tell me beforehand?"
"we meet after nearly 4 years and you're already bombarding me with a bunch of questions. what an amazing welcome," he commented sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
the other three watched in silence, feeling a bit out of place. meanwhile, you stared at your brother, still in disbelief that he was here.
your brother let out an exaggerated sigh. "mom was worried about you because you rarely reply to her texts and i woke up to her spamming me one day to visit you, so i did."
he waited a brief moment to see your reaction before continuing, your face remained blank.
"i asked sara about your whereabouts because how the hell was i supposed to know where you were, and also got a temporary break from work."
you took in his words, realizing that you did indeed rarely ever text your parents. but that wasn't your fault, you were far too busy with work and college.
"damn," heizou quietly mumbled to himself. tomo was simply amused while kazuha gave you a reassuring smile.
you nervously cleared your throat, "ahem haha... my bad."
"yeah. it is your bad. anyway!" he shifted his attention to the other three. "who are they?" he asked, walking up to them. "and more importantly, who's the dude you're dating now?"
"uhh," just as you opened your mouth to answer, he turned his head towards heizou. "is it this one? he's way out of your league dude..."
you twitched an eye as tomo burst out laughing while kazuha choked on air. "he thinks you're dating heizou HAHAHAH."
heizou nervously rubbed the back of his neck, "aha try again."
"huh? so it's not you? i mean it makes sense since there's NO way my sis would ever be able to get with you," he said with a sigh as heizou only blinked with a blank expression, feeling the incredibly awkward tension surround him.
