you decided to visit the park with your brother today. he finally made time to spend time with you.
and fortunately, you were able to bring sara and itto as well. thoma also chose to tag along, though yoimiya had work.
so did kazuha, tomo and heizou. so for now, it was just the five of you. which was plenty enough as it was.
this park wasn't new to you since you often hung out here with the others way back when they weren't all busy with work. the others being your original friend group, that is.
you conversed with your brother and caught up on everything. he spoke about his travels and you spoke about your experience at school and work.
the typical stuff. eventually, the five of you decided to get some ice cream at a nearby parlor.
however, while you walked there, your eyes caught sight of somebody staring at you, to which they hastily averted their gaze. it was a certain blonde individual. had they been watching you?
you recalled your previous experience at uyuu restaurant. and kazuha getting drugged. you winced at the memories, quickly shaking them away.
when you returned your attention to the blonde, you noticed they were gone. you abruptly searched around, before turning to your brother.
"uh hey i'll catch up with you guys in a minute, i need to do something first." you nudged your brother's elbow for his attention, who shrugged in response. "ya alright, go ahead."
once you saw your friends entering the parlor, you shifted your attention back to where the blonde was.
she couldn't have gone far. you began walking towards the direction they were originally headed towards. and right around the corner, you were relieved to see them still walking down the path.
not wasting another minute, you rushed towards them, but carefully to not scare them away.
they noticed you not along after, prompting them to fasten their pace. you furrowed your eyebrows in frustration, now fastening your pace as well. so much for being stealthy.
moments later, the blonde began full on running. you let out an exasperated sigh, then realized there was a shortcut around here.
a small grin made its way onto your face as you took the shortcut without giving it any second thought.
which to your relief, worked. you ended up standing right before the blonde, who gawked at you in fear.
