each passing minute felt longer than the last as you waited in anticipation to arrive at the hospital.
gorou informed the group awhile ago about tomo gaining consciousness and everyone had been desperate to see him again.
the last few days had been so hectic with so many things happening simultaneously, so hearing the news about tomo put everyone at ease.
kazuha was quiet during the car ride. you assumed he probably was just as eager as you were to see if the news was indeed true. if tomo really was awake.
it took a lot out of you to maintain your composure lately. you were only able to distract yourself from the incident by focusing primarily on the shogun.
however, the sudden update about tomo waking up brought back all of the previous memories you buried deep inside.
after arriving at the destination, kazuha glanced at you and saw your anxious demeanor. with a deep breath, he gently held onto your shoulder to gain your attention.
once you looked over at him, he put on the most reassuring smile he could possibly muster. the smile that brought you consolation. the smile that told you that everything would be fine. "ready to go?" he asked quietly.
you nodded slowly, then exhaled lightly, releasing the built up anxiety from your body. "yeah, let's go."
the two of you got out of the car and headed inside, making your way towards tomo's designated room. the others had already arrived and were waiting for you both.
upon making it to tomo's room, you all exchanged brief glances at one another then collectively agreed to go forth.
there, kokomi greeted you, telling you the details about his state before guiding you inside the room.
as each of you walked in, smiles took over everyone's faces upon seeing the ashy headed male resting blissfully on his bed. he had currently been laying down, unaware of your visit.
heizou was more than ready to wake the guy up by shaking the hell out of him, but sadly kokomi prevented that from happening, saying his condition wouldn't allow it.
"he's awake. just resting," she pointed out. her voice prompted the man to finally open his eyes. and once he did, he was met by everyone's wide eyed gazes. which was rather alarming for him at first.
