it had been some time since you last saw anybody. itto, thoma, yoimiya, and sara had visited you awhile ago but they left to go check up on heizou and tomo.
you wondered where kazuha was, and how heizou was doing. along with tomo.
but you chose not to think about that too much. it'd only make you more anxious.
the door opened once again, to your relief. it was lonely sitting here with only your thoughts to entertain you. and because of the current situation, those thoughts weren't anything positive.
however, as you saw yoimiya and sara walk inside with terrified expressions, you felt all of that relief fading away. the entire room's atmosphere suddenly turned gloomy.
you noticed their pale faces while they sauntered to your bed. and without saying anything, the two wrapped their arms around you.
they didn't have to say anything for you to figure out what happened. a burning sensation erupted within you and it became hard to swallow. tears welled up in your eyes as you stared aimlessly at the wall.
"tomo?" you drawled, hoping desperately for them to deny it. hoping desperately that they'd tell you that tomo was fine and they just wanted to see you again.
but no response. they only tightened the hug and you felt your heart ache. grief overcame you.
you shook your head, pulling away from the hug. "that can't be true. he's fine, right?" you looked over at yoimiya. she didn't say anything, her eyes avoided yours.
"sara?" you looked over at the purple haired lady, who gave you a pained look. "he's fine, right?" you repeated.
sara gently held your shoulder, "i'm sorry y/n."
with wide eyes, you looked away. your mind went completely empty. until the truth hit you. he didn't survive the shot.
as you grasped reality, more tears pooled your eyes. and now you had begun lightly sobbing as you covered your face with your arm.
tomo was gone.

after they heard the news, each of them remained silent. they simply stood there appalled in front of tomo's room.
