each of you gaped at the lady on the swing, who still didn't notice your guys' presence. or perhaps she did and simply didn't care enough to look.
nonetheless, scaramouche approached her with his arms crossed. the rest of you only watched.
"where is she?" the male asked her. "who?" ei responded, her eyes still looking elsewhere.
"your daughter." that was enough for her to face him. "i don't know. probably at work."
"it's a saturday." scaramouche furrowed his eyebrows, annoyed by her lack of awareness. "ah well, why do you want to know her whereabouts in the first place?"
"uh actually," gorou took a step forth, procuring ei's attention to shift to him. "your daughter has committed various crimes ma'am, and she needs to account for them."
"are you an officer?" she raised a brow. "yeah i am."
"funny. i don't recall you or your associates showing this much enthusiasm in finding the one who killed my sister."
the atmosphere succumbed to the awkward silence. none of you knew how to respond to that, not even the young officer himself. "i'm— i'm sorry to hear that ma'am."
"don't involve her in this," scaramouche scorned. ei sighed then got off the swing, walking towards the group. "i don't know where she is. nor am i involved with what she's done."
"everything she's done is because of you," the indigo haired man mumbled.
you, personally, felt like you were caught up in a family matter. and you weren't the only one, everyone else also felt out of place.
ei didn't respond any further and simply looked at scaramouche in silence. the man clicked his tongue in defeat, "nevermind forget it."
he glanced back at you and the others. "follow me, i think i know where she is."

when days got far too stressful, the shogun would often take walks in her favorite park.
