It was 12:15 and I had just left my flat to drive to the cafe that Leah had told me to meet her at. I was wearing a brown long sleeve polo shirt with tan cargos, going for a nice but casual look.

15 minutes later I arrived at the place and I messaged Leah to let her know.

Hey Leah, I'm here. Just going to get us a table. Let me know when you get here!

I walked into the cafe and got a table for two. A couple of minutes later a waitress walked over to me.

"Hey there, what can I get you?" She asked. I wasn't sure wether to order now of wait for Leah to get here.

"Uh, I'm actually waiting for someone. Would it be okay if you came back later?" I replied politely, not wanting to come off as rude.

"Yeah sure, no bother."

10 minutes later there was still no sign of Leah.

Leah? Are you still coming?

No reply. The waitress came back up to me.

"Hey again, are you wanting to order yet?" She asked.

"Uh, yeah sure. I'll take a hot chocolate." I replied with a sad smile. She looked down at me sympathetically.

"Did they not show?" She asked.

"No." I looked down at my phone hoping to see if Leah had messaged me, but there was nothing.

"Can I get that to go?"

An hour later I felt my phone buzz in my pocket while I was in Tesco looking for snacks for my flat. I looked down and it was Leah.

Y/n I am so sorry something came up

I ignored her, I wasn't in the mood to talk to her right now. I would say something I didn't mean and even though I was annoyed at her I didn't want to upset her.

Y/n?

Please can we do this again I promise this won't happen again?

I sighed and looked down at my phone, having an internal debate with myself on wether to reply to her or not.

Are you gonna show up this time?

I put my phone back in my pocket and walked over to the checkouts to pay for my things. My phone buzzed again.

Yes. I am so sorry

What came up anyway?

I knew that this was probably a bit too personal to ask someone who I had only really knew for three days but she had upset me and I wanted to know why.

It was just Jordan

"Great." I shut my car door and chucked my phone on the passenger seat. After resting my hands on the steering wheel for a few minutes I took a deep breath and started the car.

The whole drive home I was spaced out. Why did I feel this way for a girl I had only met three days ago, I mean this was ridiculous, I was feeling jealous of Leah and her potential relationship with Jordan when I didn't even really know them.

I pulled up to my flat and walked inside with the bags of snacks. When I got in I dumped my things on the kitchen counter and walked through to the living room.

I sat down on the coach and switched on the tv. Reruns of Friends. I couldn't feel like this for someone who I didn't even know. I needed to distance myself.
