chapter twenty-three

I felt a sick feeling come over me as I watched Emma wrap her arms around Leah's neck. Just as I was about to storm over to them and make a scene I saw Leah make a face and pull away before pushing Emma back. I walked over and looked at them with tears in my eyes.

"What the hell!" Leah shouted in anger, luckily no one could hear due to the volume of the music. Emma's face went bright red and she began to move around nervously.

"I- uh. I thought that you, you know, liked me." She mumbled and stumbled over her words, clearly embarrassed. Leah widened her eyes and shook her head rapidly.

"Well you were wrong."

Ella saw me and took my hand as she saw me crying, she walked me to the bar to get away from everyone. As Leah saw my state she immediately ran over to me and took my hands in hers.

"Y/n? I'm so sorry, I did not know she was going to do that." She rambled as she caressed my knuckles with her thumbs.

"Leah maybe leave her just now." Ella mumbled to her as she saw me trying to process what had happened. Leah started to walk away with a sad look on her face.

"No. I want her to stay."

Leah whipped around and walked back over to me. She took my face in her hands and caught my eyes. I had tears rolling down my cheeks at that point and the sight made Leah well up. She used her thumbs to wipe away my tears.

My lips started to quiver as the sight of someone else kissing Leah replayed in my head. I put my head in Leah's chest and she wrapped her arms around me so that she was surrounding me. My body began to shake as I cried into her chest.

"I love you." Leah chanted and kissed my hairline repeatedly.

As I felt Leah's body tense I moved back so that I could see what was happening. A wave of anger washed over me as I saw Emma standing next to us awkwardly.

"What do you want?" I snapped.

"I want to apologise. I- God I don't know what to say."

I clenched my jaw and held tightly onto Leah's hand so that I wouldn't punch the girl standing in front of me.

"Just leave." I said bluntly. Emma started to cry as she nodded and walked off into the crowd of people. I didn't care where she went, I just needed her away from me so that I wouldn't end up in a police station for the night.

"Are you okay?" Asked Ella.

I leaned more into Leah. "Better now that she's gone." I grumbled. Usually Leah would laugh at something like this but she was so worked up and angry about Emma that she just wrapped her arms around me and pulled me in even closer.

"You sobered up quick." Ella commented, handing Leah and I a bottle of water each to try and help us calm down.

"Yeah, I mean that kiss repulsed me so..." Said Leah as she took a big gulp. I chuckled a little at what she had said which caused Leah to smile at me.

"I love you so fucking much, y/n." Leah mumbled into my ear before pecking my neck.

"I love you more, Leah." I pulled away slightly so that I could give her a quick kiss. I then heard gagging sounds coming from Ella.

"Right I get this is an emotional moment, but can you lot stop being so cute. It's creeping me out." She said with a pout. Leah and I both laughed.

"Do you all want to get out of here?" Asked Leah. I nodded my head before looking at Ella.

"Yeah, I'm going to go back to my hotel." She replied.

I shook my head and frowned. "No stay with Leah and I." I protested.
