1 week later

"Hmm morning." I yawned while stretching my arms and groaning. Leah was lying awake next to me with a cute smile on her face.

Living with Leah was amazing, there were so many benefits but getting to wake up next to her every morning was definitely my favourite. I had yet to wake up before her in the week I had been staying and every time I opened my eyes I would catch Leah staring at me with a loving smile.

I turned my head so that I was lying on my side and staring into my girlfriend's eyes. "What?" I giggled. Leah reached over and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, sighing as she caressed my cheek.

"I'm just so lucky." She mumbled before leaning over me. She paused before kissing me so I grabbed her face and pulled her lips onto mine. Her smile broke the kiss.

"You're so cheesy." I rolled my eyes and sat up. Leah started to laugh as she pulled the covers off of herself and stood up. "You love it." She chuckled.

Leah and I had been a lot closer than we were over the past week. In the first few days it was hard adjusting to having someone with me basically 24/7, my social battery was draining quickly and I found myself looking forward to when Leah would leave for training so that I could finally be alone. However, recently I had been missing her a lot while she was gone. I couldn't tell if this was worse or not.

"You gonna be okay on your own again?" Leah asked as she got her training gear out for after her shower. "Cause, you know, I could always ask my mum to come over and keep you company." She continued.

"I'll be fine Lee, I promise."

She put her stuff down and walked over to my side of the bed before kneeling so that she was at my height. I took her hands and smiled as she gazed at me. "I don't want you to be lonely." She mumbled.

I shook my head. "Leah. I'll be okay."

She pouted as she tilted her head to the left. "Promise me you'll call if you need me."

"I promise." I said before leaning in and giving her a small kiss to seal the promise. "Now go get a shower, you stink." I laughed.

She gasped and stood up before walking away and giving me the middle finger. "Bitch." She mumbled.

"Oi I heard that!" I shouted with a laugh.

It had been an hour since Leah had left and I was sitting on the couch watching repeats of Bargain Hunt.

Today was the worst day ever.

I had been missing Leah the most, my ankle was sore from the intense physio I had been doing, and I was fucking bored. Part of me was so tempted to call Leah but I didn't want to disturb her.

Instead, I had the idea of cleaning. It was something I would always do when I was bored in my flat and it meant that everything would smell and look nice. Plus, it would be a great surprise for Leah when she got home.

"Right let's start with the kitchen." I mumbled as I walked to the kitchen. I was starting to walk more without the crutches - just small distances like around the house. I had to get used to walking normally again before I went back to playing football.

After reaching the kitchen I stood and looked at everything, observing what I could do with the place. I walked over to the cupboards and noticed that her bowls and plates were in separate ones which took up a lot of space that could be used for other things. I took all of the bowls and put them in the cupboard with the plates.
