The Music Freaks: Episode 10

Chapter 3 ~ Back To Normal? No

Jake waited until lunch as he was instructed to by Hailey, excited as hell. But at the same time, still nervous. He knew the moment he walked in, it wouldn't end well. Hailey and Sean already knew, Zander had seen him with Hailey and got pissed, sure he didn't know what's going on, he probably would kill him, Milly would probably be very pissed off at him, especially since she was the one who originally slapped him, and Luke, he'd never really seen him get angry, but from what he said to him the day he joined, he feared the worst. After eating his lunch, by himself, it had been like that since the incident. He'd usually sit with Drew, Liam and Henry, but obviously now he couldn't because he was no longer friends with them.

When he was done, he found himself sprinting to The Music Club Room, excitement flowing through him. And once he arrived at that door, and opened it, it felt like the incident all over again. Jake walking really happily into the room, only to be met by disappointed and anger, and the same happened here. Once he walked in, everyone stared at him. Hailey and Sean having bland expressions on their faces, Milly, who he expected to be pissed, just seemed sad to see him, Luke looked confused, and Zander, well Zander looked as if you had just killed his entire family. "WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?!" Zander yelled, getting up and walking over to Jake. "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM U-!" Zander began, being stopped by Luke who grabbed his arm. "Come on, he's not worth it." Luke said, repeating the same thing he said the day of the incident.

Jake was getting sick of being reminded of that day. "But why are you here, Jake? You were kicked out, you here to make fun of us?" Luke asked Jake. "Um- Hailey, explain?" Jake said to Hailey, her sighing. "Look guys, I know we've tried to practice without him, but I don't think it's working. So, I know your gonna hate me for this, but, I've decided to invite him ba-" Hailey tried to explain before being interrupted by Zander. "EXCUSE ME, WHAT?!" Zander yelled. "Will you stop yelling." Jake said. "DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" Zander yelled at Jake. "Zander, please, stop yelling." Hailey and Luke both said. "...fine...!" Zander said, looking away. "As I was saying, I have decided to invite him back, for the competition and competition alone! He'll practice with us and we'll use him as our singer still for the competition, but afterwards, he's out, alright, and you guys don't have to be friends with him while we practice." Hailey finished explaining.

"Well, I hate to say this, but Hailey's right." Luke said, sighing slightly. "We don't need him Hailey, we have you as a singer, you can play guitar at the same time." Zander told Hailey. "I've decided I don't want to, I'll freeze up on stage again, it'll be too much for me." Hailey responded. "And that's understandable, Hailey." Sean said, smiling at her. "Thank you, Sean." Hailey said, sharing the smile back. Now that the whole group knew what was happening, Hailey, Sean and Luke all had the same reaction, they didn't want to do this but they knew they had to, Milly was still just upset, not wanting to say anything, and Zander, well he was still just very pissed off. "So....shall we prac-" Jake tried to say but was interrupted by Zander, who apparently not only can throw a good punch, can also interrupt people a lot. "Don't act like everything's back to normal, Jake! Just because Hailey decided to invite you back, doesn't make it so you can decide what we do!" Zander yelled at him.

"I know that! I just, I'm just- I'm sorry guys, I really am. I just want everything to go back to normal again, well until the competition, obviously." Jake said, looking down. "Well you ruined that..." Milly muttered, still sad. "Face the facts, Jake, you screwed up everything, this isn't going back to normal, after what you said about Hailey, if I was in her shoes right now I would kill you." Zander said. "I know..." Jake said, sighing. "Good, remember that." Zander added. Jake stayed looking on the ground, walking over to the microphone. "Hailey, I'm not really in the mood to practice today." Zander said. "Zander, we need to practice everyday until the competition, it's only a week away." Hailey responded. "No, Zander's right, today's not really the right day to practice." Jake said, Zander obviously ignoring him and mad he agreed with him. "Yeah, Zander is right, we should do it tomorrow." Luke said. "Thank you, Luke." Zander said, smiling at him, Luke sharing the smile back.

Hailey sighed. "Fine, we'll practice tomorrow." She said. "But we need to tomorrow, no matter what." She added, the rest except for Jake and Milly nodding because Milly was still sad, getting more sad being in the same room as Jake and Jake wasn't in the mood to nod at the moment. "Alright then, I'm gonna go." Jake said. "Good, we'd love it if you left." Zander said, Jake walking out. He knew it was gonna be like this, Hailey told him to remember that, and he understood why Zander was such a dick to him, but it didn't mean he couldn't be sad and complain about it. Jake sighed to himself as he walked down the hall, bumping into someone. "Ah crap, sorry." Jake said, looking up, only to see it was Drew. "Oh, it's you." He added. Drew didn't seem to respond though, he just began to walk away. Jake knew why though, when he fought him after the incident it proved that Drew couldn't fight, and could be beaten very easily. Drew was scared of Jake, that or he just wanted to forget about Jake.

But in reality, Drew missed Jake, but like how Jake knew about the situation with The Music Club, there was nothing they could do about it. "Hailey, I know you just bought him back for the competition, but it was a stupid idea to bring him back." Zander said. "Yeah, it was, but I had to, we need him to sing. But like I said, afterwards, we can forgot all about him." Hailey said. "I do agree that after what he did we shouldn't have bought him back, but at the same time, we do probably need him for the competition, plus we were already use to him." Luke said. "We'll just have to put up with it." Sean said. "Look, I know he'll do something again, and once he does, he's a deadman." Zander said. "I hope he doesn't, I don't want to go through that again." Hailey said, sighing. "I'm surprised how calm you are Hailey about this, considering all of those things he said about you." Luke said. "I know, I just care about this competition a lot, alright." Hailey told Luke, really thinking this situation over, was this really worth it?
