The time had come, Jake grabbed his phone before locking his door, knowing his parents wouldn't come to check on him anyway since they were pissed at him, then sneaking out his window, there luckily being a pipe going down next to it he got climb down to the point he could safely drop down. He then ran to his garage to get his bike, beginning to ride to Hailey's house since it was kind of far away. After around 10-15 minutes, he arrived, putting his bike in a bush in front of her house, hoping no one would find it before going to the door and knocking on. Only a couple of seconds later, Zander's mom had answered, Shannon, at least that's what Jake thought her name was from what he heard the times he had been there. "Oh, hi Jake, come on in, their in the same room as last time." Shannon told Jake, smiling at him as she moved out of the way so he could walk in, she seemed fine with him, so he did wonder if Hailey and Zander had told them. "Thank you, Mrs Wickham." Jake said, sharing the smile as he walked in. He went to the same room as last time, seeing them all already in there.

Jake waited a few seconds before walking in, all of them staring at him. He had a noticeable bruise on his cheek, slightly under his eye from where Drew punched him, as well as from where Zander punched him since it was practically in the same place. Zander quickly lost interest in him, seeming as if he was pissed off his mom even let him in. Surprisingly, Sean and Milly showed slight concern on their face, Hailey wasn't looking at him and Luke was focusing on Zander, seeming to do it every time Zander and Jake were in the same room to stop a fight. Sean even walked up to him. "Hey, I saw you and Drew fighting earlier on, are you alright?" Sean asked. "Uh, yeah, I'm fine." Jake said, confused on why he was asking just like how confused he was when Hailey asked. "Why do you care?" Jake asked, Sean sighing. "Look, Jake, I know I probably should after what you said about Hailey, but I don't hate you." Sean told Jake. "Huh, really?" Jake asked, Sean nodding in response.

"Sure, I don't think I can call you my friend, but I don't downright hate you, Jake." Sean said to Jake, him looking down in shock, but at the same time, he was happy that at least someone didn't hate him. "I'm glad your alright." Sean added before walking back over to Milly. Jake couldn't help but have a smile on his face. He walked over to the microphone, it being in the same place it was last time. He began thinking, seeing Hailey tuning the speakers, sharing eye contact for a short second before both of them looking away. Jake looked at the door to see Hailey's dad, Micheal, walk in and walk over to his daughter to speak to her. He liked Hailey's dad, mostly because he used to be a singer when he was in high school so he thought he was cool. But after he was done speaking to Hailey, he walked over to him. "Hello Jake." Micheal said, smiling at him. "Oh, hi Mr Austin!" Jake said, sharing the smile back. "I'm really looking forward to the performance, I think you and everyone else are gonna do great." He added.

Jake had pretty much come to the conclusion that Hailey and Zander hadn't told them about the incident because of the positive experiences he had with both of them so far. He didn't mind that though, it saved the awkward encounters. "Well thank you, Mr Austin." Jake said, smiling. "Y'know, Hailey is really talented, you should be proud of her." Jake told Micheal. "Oh trust me, I am very proud of her, my talented little girl." Micheal said, his smile growing, Jake keeping his smile as well, looking over at Hailey, seeming as if she had heard them which made him sorta nervous since he complimented her, would she not like that? They weren't friends so perhaps she didn't want him talking about her? He had been far too worried since the incident, even though Hailey was really just sad, this whole thing was horrible. She loved Jake, she still did but she was trying to forgot it and after the competition, him. But it was hard, she wished this whole thing hadn't happened and they could have kept being friends, done the competition and maybe even later on confess her love for him. But Jake ruined it, Hailey knew that, she wasn't going to punish herself for it. To be honest, Hailey was actually slightly suspicious of the situation. She was confused on why Jake just suddenly now decided to talk shit about her.
