Jake had woken up, Oreo still asleep next to him which caused him to smile. He stood up, looking at his phone and seeing that he had been added back to the 'Music Club' group, which he had been previously kicked out from. There was also another message from Milly which read:
Milly:
Jake, I am so so so sorry about yesterday! I- I didn't mean to let that all out, and I feel super super bad about itJake:
It's fine, Milly, trust me. I'm sure it'll be fineHe then checked the 'Music Club' group chat.
Music Club:
Hailey:
Alright, Jake. After school after we've practiced, we're gonna go back to my house and practice, you can try the outfit on, the rest of us will put it in as well.Jake:
Alright, got it!Afterwards, he saw a private message from Hailey in their dm's.
Hailey:
Jake, after school when we're practising at my house, my dad'll probably want to talk to you. First of all, he isn't gonna be home for a while so we'll get to practice and you'll actually be allowed in, mum won't mind too much, I've already spoke with her. When that happens, don't be too nervous, me and him have already spoke after you left and I told him you were manipulated, along with the fact I'll be right beside you when he talks to you. Alright, it'll be okay. Do you trust me, Jake? ❤️Jake:
Yeah, I do. Thank you, Hailey. I love you.Hailey:
I love you too, Jake.Jake then put his phone down before getting ready, eating breakfast and then leaving to go to school. On the way, he remembered that Daisy wanted to speak with him about the incident. She already knew Drew had manipulated him, overhearing it when Drew told Hailey. So, what was there to discuss? He didn't know, but he would find out. Once he arrived at school, he went to his locker and put his stuff in before closing it and going to find Daisy. He ended up finding her on the place that started it all...the school roof. The place where Daisy first heard him sing and told him to join the club. Daisy was standing at the fence, only turning around when he saw Jake knock on the door. "Jake...hey." Daisy said as Jake walked over, leaning against the fence as he looked at Daisy. "That audio was because Drew manipulated me into thinking the club was using me, I didn't mean a word I said, y'know that, right?" Jake explained, Daisy nodding in response.
"Yeah, I only asked you to come here so I could check if you were alright. I can understand the club kicking you out because of that, but now you're back in and you're life is going good. Must've been horrible to be reminded of that, and Zoey...I can't believe she would do that. So, are you okay?" Daisy asked, Jake nodding. "Yeah, it's fine. I'm just more worried about how Hailey's dad and mom are gonna feel." Jake answered Daisy. He then was taken back, but still smiled once Daisy hugged him. Ever since that day she gave him back his musical notebook in middle school, he had always trusted her, since she was always there for him. Jake hugged Daisy back, continuing to smile. Daisy eventually let go. "Well, we should get going, lessons are gonna start soon. I'll see you soon, Jake." Daisy told Jake, smiling at him as she left the roof, leaving Jake alone up there. And as it always happened whenever he was up there alone, his lips began to move and he began to speak without realising.
'...oh love's a crazy game.'
When lunch time came around, Jake walked to the music room like usual and once he arrived, he saw Zander and Luke, smiling happily while talking to each other, Zander looking over and groaning. Jake must've ruined whatever they were doing. "Oh, hey, Jake." Luke said, smiling at Jake, showing he clearly didn't mind that the other had came into the room. "What were you guys doing?" Jake asked. "None of your bus-" Zander began. "Oh, just spending some time together since no one else was here." Luke said. "Me and Zander refer to it as our 'little dates'." Luke said, giggling slightly while Zander looked away in embarrassment. "Oh, shit, I'm sorry I interrupted it." Jake said, feeling bad he interrupted it. "I can make it up to you!" Jake instantly added. "No, it's fine, Jake. It wasn't even an official date, just me and Zander spending some time together." Luke told Jake. "...we've never even officially had a proper date, to be honest." Luke added.
"Oh, okay. Um, how about after school, I help you guys have you're first real date? We can do it before meeting at Hailey's." Jake suggested to Luke, his eyes widening, same with Zander's. "Wait, really?" They both asked, Jake smiling at them. "Of course! It can be my own special way of making up for the audio, and the years of bullying you, Zander." Jake said, sounding quieter when he mentioned the audio and bullying. "...it isn't necessary." Zander said. "C'mon, Zander! How nice would it be for us to finally have a proper date, plus it might help with your nerves for the competition tomorrow." Luke told Zander, smiling and kissing him on the cheek, causing the other to blush. "....f-fine..." Zander said, looking away, Luke and Jake both smiling. "Then it's settled! Meet me at the coffee shop down the road after school, and I'll help you set up your first date! I'll pay for it." Jake told them, Zander almost smirking at the idea of making Jake go broke, but that would be an asshole move and Zander wasn't one, no matter how bad Jake treated him in the past. "Oh, and uh, Jake. Don't apologise about the audio, that wasn't your fault. Remember that." Luke told Jake, smiling at him.
Shortly after, the rest of the club came in and they practiced like usual, having a good time like usual. When they were done, Jake walked over to Luke and Zander. "Alright, remember. Meet at the coffee shop down the street after school but before Hailey's, we can go afterwards." Jake told Luke and Zander. "Alright, we'll meet you there." Luke said, before looking at Zander and nudged him slightly, almost in a way of telling him to say something to Jake. "...thanks....Jake..." Zander said quietly, having a small smile on his face, but that was probably because he was thinking of having a date with Luke. Jake then turned around to leave before having Milly appear in front of him. "I have to come!" Milly said loudly, causing everyone to look at her. "Come where?" Sean asked. "Nowhere!" Jake said, practically grabbing Milly and dragging her out the room. He just wanted it to be Luke and Zander's special date, plus Jake wouldn't even probably be there. He would come along but he wouldn't sit near them, and all he was doing was paying for it.
"Look, this is Luke and Zander's first proper date, alright. Just. Them. No one else." Jake told Milly. "Then why are you going?" Milly asked Jake. "I'm not, properly. All I'm doing is paying for it, so yes, I'll be there, but not properly be there. I won't be anywhere near them, or interrupt anything." Jake explained to Milly. "Come on though, I've been shipping those two for longer than you'll ever know, me and Hailey both have! I need to see their first official date!" Milly told Jake, it being too loud again, it feeling similar to last night. Hailey then poked her head out the door and stared at them both. "Milly, you're not interrupting Luke, Zander and Jake's date." Hailey said, smiling at them both. Jake blushes at the thought of him being the third member of that date. "H-Hailey!" He said, his girlfriend chuckling before going back in the room. "Speaking of dates, I also need to be at yours and Hailey's first date, alright?" Milly told Jake, Jake rolling his eyes. "If I see you anywhere near that coffee shop, I'm telling Elliot you love him." Jake said before walking away, Milly blushing. "H-Hey, don't say that! Y-You won't! ...asshole!" Milly said. She had a crush on Elliot, but had yet to actually tell him, still trying to work up the courage to tell him.
While walking away, Jake was tapped on the shoulder, turning around to see Zoey, smirking at him, playing the audio which caused Jake to immediately scowl. "Turn that fucking off." Jake said, Zoey chuckling. "What, you don't like it? Did Daisy like it?" Zoey asked, smirking. Jake, after a couple of seconds, stopped scowling, and in fact, just smiled. "That....that stupid fucking audio." Jake said, chuckling himself. "Daisy knows I was manipulated, she doesn't care. Neither does the club, neither does me! It's. Fucking. Worthless. And so are you now. Drew's left you, Lia's left you, the only thing you have left, that audio, is useless." Jake told Zoey, turning around and beginning to leave, stopping halfway and looking back. "So now, do me a favour, and stay out of my way, stay out of my life, forever. I hate you. So does Drew. And so does Lia." Jake finished, turning his head back around and walking away, a huge smirk on his face. Zoey scowled, worse than Jake had done a minute ago. She was livid, pissed off as hell. "Fuck. You. Jake. Sterling." She muttered under her breath, over and over and over, countless times as she walked away as well.
