For the entire weekend, Jake ignored any messages he got on his phone, most of them being from Hailey and from the other club members, since he left the Music Club group chat, they couldn't talk to him through that. His parents barely spoke to him too, since they were still disappointed in him for punching Drew. Last week, when Jake got in his fight with Drew and they were both sent home, Jake explained to his parents afterwards and they somewhat understood and forgave him. But this time, he didn't really have a reason. He had an interaction with an old bully and then punched Drew in the face, that wasn't good enough of an excuse. Hell, just saying Drew's face pissed him off would make more sense. But Jake didn't care about all that. No, what he worried about the most was Monday. Going to school and interacting with fans who saw him perform, but also fans who'll ask why isn't he in the photos. Plus, the rumour of him punching Drew was spreading. Seeing Drew, Henry and Liam would be awkward, and of course, the club. It would be awkward as fuck, it reminding him of when he went to school after falling out with the club with the audio. He really didn't want to go, but he had no choice. But then Jake thought, what about Daisy?! She would definitely come up to him and ask...shit!
On Sunday, Jake was sat in his room, scrolling through his phone when he heard the front door knock. He was curious, always was when someone knocked on the door. So, he poked his head out of his door and saw his mom answer the door. "Hello?" His mom asked. "Hello, Miss Sterling. Is Jake in?" The person at the door asked. Jake recognised this voice and knew who it was...it was Hailey. "He is, but he's grounded because of what happened on Friday. I'm sorry, but you can talk to him at school tomorrow." Jake's mom explained, Hailey nodding. "Alright. Thank you, Miss Sterling." Hailey said as she walked away and his mom closed the door. Immediately, Jake ran over to his window and looked at Hailey walking away from his house. He wanted to call her name, but he didn't have to, because Hailey turned around and saw Jake looking at her. "Jake!" Hailey said, Jake immediately ducking down. "Shit shit shit." Jake thought to himself as Hailey walked closer, looking up at his window. "Jake, please. I just wanna talk." She said. It wasn't surprising. After the incident with Drew, he leaves the Music Club group chat and breaks up with Hailey.
After a few minutes of silence, Jake slowly looked up, his head slightly showing through the window, he saw that Hailey was still there. "...what do you want...?" Jake asked. "I have a lot of questions. But-" Hailey began before Jake interrupted. "I punched Drew because I felt like it. I left the Music Club because I don't care for it anymore. And I broke up with you...because I don't love you anymore, Hailey...I hate you. Simple." Jake explained as he closed his window. Hailey stared up at Jake's window for a solid minute, before she began crying. Although, she didn't stay near Jake's house for long, slowly walking away while crying. Jake did a similar thing, sitting down on his bed and began crying. He didn't want to tell Hailey about his interaction with Thomas, and even though Micheal told him he could basically tell Hailey that he told him to break up with her and leave the club...Jake couldn't. He's rather have her hate him than her father. So, he lied....it was funny. You could say it all came full circle. The day Hailey messaged him, he wasn't with Hailey, didn't have the club or the Jomies. And now, nearly 2 weeks later, he was stuck in the same position once again...
On Monday, Jake reluctantly got up out of bed, went downstairs and had a very silent breakfast with his parents and Milo. It was awkward, even Milo could tell that so he didn't speak, which was weird because he always cracked stupid jokes at breakfast, which usually made Jake laugh unironically. After, he left his house and actually went to school. Once he arrived, he was met by fans. He couldn't help but smile as he was asked to take pictures and sign autographs, he felt like a celebrity, and it actually felt nice. Thankfully, no one who came up to him had heard the rumour yet, at least he thought so. One fan though, was the first to ask the major question. It was a kid who Jake had met previously a lot, who had the nickname Sparkz. He was one of Jake's biggest fanboy's, you could tell because he was literally wearing the same copy of Jake's jacket. He ran up to him, with a massive smile, and said: "Yo! Sup, Sterling." This slightly set Jake off because it reminded him of what Thomas called him on Friday. "H-Hey, Sparkz. You want an autograph, or a photo?" Jake asked. "Nah. I mean, that'd be cool and all that, but I've seen so many people who've been coming up to you about that, and your probably tired. No, I came to ask why you weren't in the photos of the club holding the medal. I mean, you performed, I saw you. I was in the front row, you did great by the way!" Sparkz explained.
