The Music Freaks: Episode 10

Chapter 14 ~ Jailey Is Canon

A/N ~ Since Episode 10 came out today, I've decided to post this chapter. Also, going forward I may include some things from the episode. Expect Milo to show up if we go back to Jake's house, and since were there right now :)

Jake stared down at the message, why would Daisy want to talk to him about Drew? Had he lied to her, was he manipulating her? He got pissed at the idea of that, deciding to respond.

Jake:
What about him?

Daisy:
I overheard your conversation today, I just wanted to ask if you were okay. I didn't know Drew did that to you

Jake sighed in relief, it clearly wasn't anything too serious.

Jake:
Yeah, I'm good. Thanks for asking, Daisy

Daisy:
Of course, Jake

Just as Jake was about to put his phone down, he thought. He could annoy Zander, but chose not to. Jake and Zander weren't on good terms, he believed that him and Drew planned the whole thing, and Jake couldn't convince him otherwise. So, he ignored that, seeing a message from Drew appear.

Drew:
Jake, why'd you lie to me?

Jake was about to block Drew, but he thought. Drew probably felt hurt, lied to. But then again, Drew had manipulated him, bullied the club for years, and overall was a dickhead. So he didn't block him, he sent him a message.

Jake:
Because your a horrible person, Drew. And it was time you got a taste of your own medicine. Whatever your feeling right now was most likely how I felt when you manipulated me

And then he blocked him, putting his phone down, turning to see his door being opened. "Hello?" A voice said. "Don't you know how to knock?" Jake asked, looking at his younger brother, Milo. "Yeah, I just, wanted to tell you that someone's here for you." Milo told Jake. "Oh, uh, who?" Jake asked. "I don't know, she had...teal hair, I guess." Milo began, before Jake ran past him. He knew who was here, Hailey. "ALSO, NEXT TIME, KNOCK!" Jake yelled, running down the stairs and to the door, quickly opening it. "Hey!" Jake said, seeing Hailey, smiling at her. "Hey, Jake. Can I come in?" Hailey asked, Jake quickly nodding and stepping aside so she could walk in. Hailey walked in, Jake closing the door behind her, them both walking up to his room to see Milo still in there.

"Huh, get out!" Jake said. "Who's that?" Milo asked, curious. "None of your bus-" Jake began to say before Hailey answered Milo: "I'm Hailey." She smiled at Milo, him having a mischievous smirk on his face. "This your girlfriend, big brother?" Milo asked, both Jake and Hailey immediately blushing. Now yes, they had both said they loved each other, but neither of them had said they were in a relationship. "U-Um..." Hailey mumbled. Jake stuttering, tying to form a sentence before he just grabbed Milo and practically threw him out of his room. "S-Stay o-out!" Jake said before shutting his door, looking back at Hailey. "T-That was my younger brother, Milo." Jake told Hailey, her nodding.

Jake sat down on his bed, Hailey sitting down next to him. He pulled out his phone, clicking on Zander's dms and showing Hailey the message. "O-Oh, yeah, that." Hailey said. "He overheard me talking to Luke, I had to sneak out because he wouldn't let me leave. He hates you." Hailey told Jake. "Yup." He said. "I didn't say we were dating, but I uttered the words 'love' and he lost it." Hailey added, Jake looking at her. Zander's message: 'YOUR DATING MY SISTER?!' And Milo's words: 'This your girlfriend, big brother?' Along with his and Hailey's: 'I love you' It all combined. "Hailey, do you want to be my girlfriend?" Jake asked, Hailey's face turning red. "U-Uh, u-ummm, s-sure." Hailey slowly said, smiling slightly, so was Jake. "W-Well, that m-makes you my b-boyfriend, Jake." Hailey told Jake, now his face turning red.

"Y-Yeah, i-it d-does." Jake said, his smile growing. But now since him and Hailey were dating, it made him remember why he joined the club in the first place. Daisy, he had had a crush on Daisy for years, ever since she first spoke to him and gave him his music book back, he had loved her. But overtime, he slowly began to love Hailey, and since Sean and Daisy were now dating, he had stopped having a crush on her. She was still his friend, and after the incident where he lost everyone, she was still there for him. Although he still pictured a future with Daisy, it wouldn't happen, and now he was fine with that. "But, Jake, I actually came here to tell you something." Hailey spoke up. "Hm, what's that?" Jake asked. "...After the competition, I want you to stay in the club. I think Sean will be fine with it, he told me he was fine with you. Maybe even Luke. I don't know if Milly will be, Zander definitely won't be. But, now that I know the truth, and I knew you wouldn't say those things for no reason. I don't want to kick you out." Hailey told Jake.

"Wait, really?" Jake asked. "Yeah, Jake. I want you to stay, for further fun, hanging out, competitions, all of it." Hailey said. Jake's smile had gone from small, to big, to massive. "Thank you, Hailey. Thank you so much." Jake said, hugging Hailey. But because she was beside him and they were on his bed, by turning that quickly, he hugged her and caused her to fall back and him fall on top of her. Today was the day of red faces for them, it happening again. If not helping with the fact that they heard the door open, Jake immediately looking back to see Milo snickering. As fast as light itself, Jake got up and ran towards Milo, chasing him around the house while Hailey sat there, trying to comprehend what just happened. After a couple of minutes, Jake returned, his and Hailey's faces still being slightly red.

"I-I'm so s-sorry about M-Milo, he's a l-little shit." Jake said, closing the door. "D-Do you have a-a lock on y-your door?" Hailey asked. "Used t-to." Jake said, going back to sit down, but seeing as Hailey hadn't gotten back up, he just laid down next to her. Once he did, Hailey grabbed onto his hand, keeping a good hold of it. Jake didn't mine this, seeing her smiling just made him smile even more than he already was. They held hands for a while, then spoke for a while, until Hailey got up. "I should go now, Zander's probably wondering where I went." Hailey said, Jake getting up as well and nodding. "Alright, I'll walk you to the door." Jake said, walking over to his door and opening it, let Hailey leave first before they both walked downstairs. Once they arrived at the main door, Jake went to open it before Hailey did, taking a step outside and looking back at him.

"Jake, I'll try and convince Zander that you didn't plan that. We can make the announcement that your not getting kicked out tomorrow at lunch." Hailey told Jake. "Alright." Jake said. "I love you, Jake." Hailey said, smiling at him, Jake returning the smile. "I love you too, Hailey." Jake said, before Hailey turned around and began to walk back to her house. Jake shut his door, to be greeted by the voice of not Milo, but a different member of the family. "Who's that?" Jake's dad asked. "Oh, um, that's my...girlfriend." Jake said proudly, his dad looking at him. "Alright." He said, before walking away, Milo staring down at him from the stairs. "What happened to you loving that Daisy girl you never use to shut up about?" Milo asked. "She's dating someone else." Jake said, Milo chuckling. "Should've asked her sooner, she would've rejected you though. I would be better suited for her." Milo boasted. "Yeah yeah, whatever." Jake said, walking up the stairs, past Milo and into his room.
