The Music Freaks: Episode 10

Chapter 16 ~ Drake Isn't Canon

(Sorry this chapter is super late, I haven't updated this story in like 3 months...sorry about that, I'm gonna try and update it more, and more importantly, finish it soon. Alright, enjoy the chapter :D)

"...you...you love me...?" Jake asked, Drew sighing, sitting down and leaning next to a locker while Jake himself sat up. "...y-yeah...I have for a while, Jake..." Drew admitted, putting his head in his knees, muffling his voice slightly. "...then why have you been...fighting me? I know I may have instigated some of them, but if you really did love me, why did you attack me each time?" Jake asked Drew. "...I was angry, with myself mostly, I- I knew the club was special to you, even if I didn't like them...since I was jealous of their talent, y'know, I told you that. They've never done anything wrong. But, I still felt angry with myself for making you lose the club and then in return, losing me, which I did deserve. Since I was angry, every punch or kick or whatever you did to me, I retaliated...I wish I didn't, I just knew every time I did that I was ruining my chances of becoming your friend again..." Drew explained, sniffling slightly as he looked up at Jake, slight tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Jake...for fucking all of it. The manipulation, the fights, all the shit...even turning you into a bully..." Drew added, Jake looking at him. "...yeah, you did do that...didn't ya?" Jake said, sighing, getting up. "I still blame you for the manipulation and turning me into a bully...but I have the club again, and that's all I wanted." Jake told Drew. "You thanked me, for telling you what Zoey was doing. And, you told the club what you did. So essentially, we're sorta even now. I'll move on with the club, you stick with the Jomies. And, we can finish school, go to college if we want, get a job, just- just live our lives, alright?" Jake added, lending out a hand to Drew, the other taking it and being pulled up, instantly hugging Jake. And Jake, hugged back, letting Drew cry into his shoulder as the other was still upset. After a few minutes, they let go off each other. "You think, I don't know, maybe in a few years if we still know each other...we could give it another shot? Being friends I mean, not...dating." Drew asked, the tone in his last sentence changing to a more sadder one, since he did still love Jake.

"...we'll see about it, Drew. If you want to, you can come to the concert on Friday, watch us play. If you do, I'll talk to you for a bit afterwards. But...I'll need some more time, if we're gonna be able to do this again." Jake explained to Drew, him nodding. "I understand. I'll see you at the concert, Jake. Bye." Drew said, turning around to leave before looking at Jake one last time. "I just want you to know, that you were always a great friend. A really great and amazing friend, who I really didn't deserve." Drew said, a small tear rolling down his cheek as he smiled at Jake before leaving the school. Jake had a small smile on his face, before hearing a voice behind him: "Jake! There you are!" He turned around to see Hailey and the others running towards him, Hailey almost immediately hugging Jake which caused him to blush, and Zander to look away. He still clearly wasn't okay with this, but it was Hailey's decision and he couldn't do anything about this. "Why did you leave the nurse without seeing us?" Sean asked. "Did Drew attack you again? This was where you fought him before." Luke said. "Don't worry Jake, if I need to, I'll kick his as-" Milly began.

"It's fine, guys. I just wanted to talk with him. He's gone now." Jake told them, smiling warmly to try and convince them. Hailey let go of him, smiling at Jake as well. "Okay then, if you say so." Hailey said. "We were gonna go back to my house and practice some more, I know we've practiced twice today, but the more the merrier! As well as the fact the competition is in two days, we have to practice as much as we can. Plus, we can hang there for a while." Hailey told Jake, him instantly nodding. He would take practice and hanging out with his friends, and girlfriend, anyday. "Alright, let's get going." Zander quickly said, grabbing Luke's hand and walking out of the school, dragging his boyfriend with him. Sean, Milly, Jake and Hailey followed, until they heard a voice. "Oh, Jake!" Jake turned around, Hailey doing so as well, although Sean and Milly had already left. The voice was Daisy, running up to them.

"Oh, hi Daisy." Hailey said. "Daisy, are you free currently? You always like watching us practice and we're about to at Hailey's house." Jake told Daisy, her face almost beaming. "Of course, I would love to! Thankfully, I am free...for about an hour." Daisy told Jake and Hailey. "That's fine, it won't take long, I promise." Hailey told Daisy, her, Daisy and Jake turning around and walking out of the school, having to catch up with the rest of the group before arriving at Hailey's house shortly after leaving the school. They walked inside, being met by Shannon, Micheal and Bethany, who instantly ran to Sean and hugged him, of course. They all walked to the room they usually practiced in, setting up their things and beginning to practice with the club, Daisy watching and clapping in awe. After practicing, Jake took out his phone and saw that he had been added back to the 'Jomies' group chat.

Jomies:

Drew:
Hey, Jake. I thought you'd want to be added back now since everything's okay. Are you okay with that?

Jake:
Yeah, it's fine. I have to go now

Henry:
Alright. It's good to have you back, Jake

Drew:
Henry, he ain't fully back, remember that

Henry:
Oh yeah, right

Jake put his phone down, looking up and seeing Hailey in front of him, smiling. "I have a surprise for you, come with me." Hailey told Jake, walking out the room and to her room, Jake following. Once they both entered the room, he walked further in and saw a wrapped gift laying on her bed, indicating for Jake to open it, and he did, seeing the gift Hailey had given him. "Wow, Hailey! Uh, thank you!" He said.
