Chapter 24 ~ The Aftermath

Jake, along with the rest of the club walked off the stage, going backstage again where after a few seconds, most people they knew walked in to obviously talk to them. It was overwhelming, since they had only just got off the stage, but it was nice. Daisy immediately ran up to both Jake and Sean who were standing next to each other, pulling them both into a very close and tight hug, causing Jake and Sean to blush. "You guys did amazing!" She said happily, as she kept hugging them. "T-Thanks, Daisy." Jake and Sean both said, just awkwardly smiling at each other. Hailey and Zander both got hugged by Micheal and Shannon, them smiling at them. "You two did great." Micheal said. "I'm sure you'll win." Shannon added. "Where's Bethany?" Hailey asked, Shannon pointing in the corner where Bethany and Milo were talking. "That's gonna lead to trouble." Zander thought, sighing as he felt Luke hug him from behind. "H-Huh- oh, hey." He said, turning around and hugging Luke back, smiling slightly. Milly immediately ran up to Elliot once she saw him enter. "H-Hey! So, what did you think?" She asked, really hoping he enjoyed it. "It was great! You did amazing, Milly." Elliot responded, smiling at her. Milly smiled, liking that Elliot enjoyed it. She was now wondering if now was the right moment, looking over at Jake who was giving her a thumbs up because he was no longer being squeezed against Sean and Daisy. Milly nodded, turning back around and looking at Elliot.

"E-Elliot, can I tell you something?" Milly asked, Elliot nodding. "Of course you can." Elliot replied, Milly taking a deep breath. "I- I like you, Elliot. I think your really cool, and nice. And- I was just wondering if maybe, you'd wanna go out sometime?" Milly asked, looking down while blushing. She was afraid he'd say no. But the opposite happened. Elliot's face lit up. "O-Of course-!" Elliot said a bit too loud, so when Jake heard it, he smiled. Milly instantly looked back up. "H-Huh-?! Really?!" She asked, feeling as if she misheard him. "M-Mhm! I-I would love to go out with you." Elliot said, smiling and blushing as Milly instantly wrapped her arms around him tightly. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Milly said over and over again, being very very happy about it. Elliot looked down at her, smiling as he hugged her back. After Jake heard that, he looked at some other members who had walked backstage, seeing Lia walking towards him. "Hey, Lia!" Jake said, smiling. "Hi, Jake." Lia replied, smiling back. "Did you enjoy the show?" He asked, Lia nodding in response. "I did. You did great, so did the other members...you and Hailey were good at singing." Lia said, looking down when she mentioned Hailey. Jake looked at Lia, remembering that in Middle School, Hailey and Lia were friends before she met Zoey and became a bully. "Lia, I think you should tell Hailey that herself." Jake said, smiling at her. Lia looked up, feeling slightly scared. She hasn't spoken to Hailey positively since they stopped being friends.

"You- ...you're right." Lia said, sighing as she turned around and slowly walked over to Hailey. Hailey was talking to Zander and Luke when she felt a tap on her shoulder, turning around to see Lia, which surprised her. Although, it angered Zander, since he assumed she was here to be mean to Hailey. "...what do you want?" Hailey asked, Lia sighing again. "You did good." Lia said, Hailey's eyes widening as she was surprised further, the same with Zander. "W-What-?" Hailey asked. "...can I speak to you in private...please?" Lia asked. Zander was immediately about to say no, but Hailey spoke first, since she was curious. "Fine. Zander, Luke, could you guys go for a minute?" Hailey asked, Luke nodding as he took Zander's hand and practically dragged him away. "...so, what do you-" Hailey began. "I'm sorry." Lia interrupted. "What-?" Hailey asked, being surprised once again. "I'm sorry for bullying you, for leaving you for Zoey." Lia told Hailey. Hailey had seen in the past week that Lia and Zoey seemed to fall out. "..." Hailey looked at Lia, not really sure what to say. She wasn't expecting Lia to apologise. "I don't expect you to forgive me. But, I just want you to know." Lia told Hailey, turning around and beginning to walk away. "Lia!" Hailey called out, causing Lia to turn back around. "Thanks...for apologising." Hailey said, Lia nodding as she turned back around and kept walking away.
