When Verena woke the next morning.
Daemon was gone and she was okay with that. She knew he'd be back. He promised.

While Verena was with Daemon
Otto Hightower told the regrettable news that Rhaenyra and Daemon were seen hooking up in a brothel.

Otto kept to himself that his informant also said that he was seen going to Verena's room and left early in the morning.
He would deal with that himself.
The queen overheard the conversation and her blood boiled.
Viserys thought it was a joke at first,
a lie.
He snapped at Otto realising that his intentions were not pure and he was waiting for a moment to spring on Rhaenyra and change the fate of heir.
And commanded him to leave.

Verena was with Rhaenyra when they were both summoned by Alicent to the Godswood.
When they walked upon Alicent she wore a look of anger and disappointment but her face was only pointing at Rhaenyra.
Alicent spoke quickly,

"What happened last night?"

Looking expectedly at Rhaenyra.
Rhaenyra's face slightly paled and Verena looked at her confused as Rhaenyra refuted,

"What do you mean?"

"My father has made some worrying allegations about you. Were you with your uncle?"

Verena's face dropped.
What did Daemon have to do with this.
What had he done.
He was with her,
she was so confused.
Rhaenyra stuttered,

"Oh, I... I haven't seen him in years. He took me into the city for some fun."

Alicent looked at Rhaenyra wanting more answers from her,

"Tell me the whole of it, Rhaenyra."

Verena started to speak when Rhaenyra interrupted her,

"Your father accused me of something.
That I drank wine?
Left the castle after dark?"

Alicent with no shame angrily said,

"That you fսckеd Daemon in a pleasure house."

Verena's jaw dropped.
Her heart broke with this information.
She was the second choice.
She tried to get to the bottom of this rumour by saying,

"What do you mean sister?
