Bella had barely talked to me. All I wanted was advice from my older sister and she just seems so wrapped up in her own world. I still never admitted to her the rumors that went around, but she brought it up to me once. I assume that Jessica told her about them, but I shut her down quickly once I realized what she was talking about.
I walk into the history room, Rosalie is already sitting at our table. I smile gratefully that she is here and is someone I can talk to.
I sit next to her and take my books out, "I desperately need to talk to you," I tell her softly.
"Okay, spill the tea," She says with a soft smile.
I explain the situation to her from the kiss with Paul to the rumors and to the phone call with Embry.
She listens closely and doesn't interrupt me once.
I finally finish and let out a deep breath.
"Firstly, I should kill every one of these humans for talking bad about you," she starts, "and secondly, I think he likes you, Mags!"
Rosalie was dead serious about killing any human that ever talked bad about her sweet Maggie. She also didn't recognize Embry Call's name as Call was not the last name of any of the men her family had made a truce with.
"You definitely don't have to kill them," I giggle at Rose, although I appreciate the offer. "Your family makes this school much more tolerable. Do you really think Embry likes me though? Like more than a friend?"
"I'm happy we can make your experience here better, we all love you," Rose says truthfully, her family adores Maggie and Alice had a vision that Maggie would accept what they were with open arms. "I also really think he likes you more than a friend. Just let me know if he hurts you so I can hurt him."
"Thank you, Bella has been so occupied with Edward that i've gotten no sister advice. You definitely make up for that," I grin at the beautiful blonde.
Rose rolls her eyes at the mention of Bella basically drooling over Edward, "I'll always be here with advice when she fails to do so."

The weekend came so quickly and I was stressed. Bella left early with Edward to go who knows where and dad left on a fishing trip. It was just going to be Embry and I and that hasn't happened in months.
I pace around my room and think of what I should wear. Does it matter? It does, definitely. I paired an oversized sweater with a black skirt and tights. I was the Swan sister that dressed more girly, maybe that's one of the reasons that Rosalie finds me to be her favorite.
Once my outfit was put together, I pulled my hair in a messy bun. I wanted to look casually cute and not like I was trying too hard. Before I had time to change my mind, a knock came from downstairs. I calmed my nerves and got the courage to walk down the stairs.
I walked down and opened up the door to a boy too gorgeous for his own good. "Embry," I breathe out.
"Maggie! You look as beautiful as ever," He grins down at me before pulling me into a hug. I hug him back, not wanting to let go of the strong boy. My best friend.
"Come in, we have so much to catch up on," I say before finally letting him go. He nods and walks past me into the familiar house.
"Well, so far, nothing has changed in this house," Embry states as he takes a little tour of the downstairs. I giggle and follow behind him.
"Are you hungry? I can make you something," I offer.
"No thank you, I still remember that you are not the best cook," He replies with a smirk.
"Hey! That was forever ago! I've totally gotten better," I'm definitely lying, Bella has been the one doing the cooking since she's gotten back to Forks. I got our father's cooking skills aka none.
"I can see right through you," He laughs, "We can just hang out and if we get hungry, we can order pizza."
"Sounds like a deal," I agree before leading him to the couch.
We sat and talked for what felt like hours. He caught me up on everything that was going on with the guys. Apparently Sam and Paul have been acting distant ever since I stopped coming around and keep looking at Embry, Quil, and Jacob weirdly. I tell him about the Cullens and how Bella seems so utterly in love with Edward Cullen.
"Do you remember the Quileute Tribe stories?" Embry suddenly asks me after I tell him about Bella and Edward.
I think about it for a moment and nod, "Yeah, the stories of the cold ones and the wolves."
"Do you think the Cullens are the cold ones?" He questions.
I think about how inhumanly beautiful the cullens are and how cold Rose always is, "Maybe. Do you think Sam and Paul turned into wolves?"
Embry laughs rather loudly realizing how silly they sounded, "maybe."
"Do you think you'll turn into a wolf?" I tease him.
"Even if the legends are true, I don't think it runs in my bloodline. I also have no idea who my father is," He replies truthfully.
"Yeah, you're right. It would be pretty crazy if you did turn into a giant wolf," I nudge at him.
He nods in agreement, "would it scare you?"
"I don't think so," I answer, unsure if I would be scared of him if he suddenly changed into a wolf.
"I really like you, Magnolia," He says softly, taking my hand into his.
The thoughts of the rumors flash through my head, so many nights I cried myself to sleep hoping Embry didn't think I was a slut. "Don't pretend, please," I whisper.
He looks at me with confusion, "what do you mean?"
"You don't have to pretend like you like me," I say quietly, pulling my hand away from his.
He shakes his head and lifts my chin up his finger to force me to look into his eyes, "I would never pretend to like you,"
"Promise?" I ask while staring into his deep brown eyes.
He stared back into mine, "I promise, darling"
