School was so weird now. Alice and Edward came back like nothing had happened and sat with Bella's friend group at lunch. I tried my best to avoid that table but Alice would try to drag me over there occasionally. I denied her offer each time and kept my place with Juliet and Rem. Juliet gets weird vibes from Edward and Rem could care less about my sister and her love life.
"so are we hanging out with the tribe tonight?" Juliet asks me, drawing my attention away from my sister.
"Yeah, of course. Emily is making dinner. Rem are you coming?" I ask.
He nods, stuffing his mouth full with pizza.
"Cool, you guys are going to meet Seth Clearwater too. He just joined the big boy group."
"The big boy group, huh?" Juliet smirks.
I laugh and nod, "they're big boys, Seth is a little boy. Not really, he's 15."
"Speaking of ages, you're turning 17 this weekend," Rem says, poking my cheek.
"Yes I am," I grin at him.
"What do you want for your birthday?" He asks.
"A freaking kitten," I tell him.
"Of course you do!" Juliet laughs.

We are sat around Sam and Emily's dining room table. It was Sam, Emily, Jared, Paul, Embry, me, Juliet, Rem, Seth, and Leah. Jake was off patrolling with Quil. I was sat on Embry's lap and Juliet was on Paul's as there was not enough chairs for everyone. I sat quietly eating my food and not paying attention to the conversation around me. I more so watched the people around me. Jared and Paul were messing with each other, Seth and Rem kept glancing at each other, Juliet and Leah were having a conversation, and Sam and Emily were eating quietly as well. I shift on Embry's lap and feed him a piece of my bread after I was satisfied with my observation.
"What are you thinking about?" He asks me softly.
"How lucky we are to have such a great family," I reply, pressing a kiss on his lips.
"One day we'll have our own family."
"Family of cats maybe."
That makes him laugh and he shakes his head, "one day very far in the future we'll have kids, but for now, cats will do," He agrees.
It was my turn to laugh and shake my head.
"Do you have plans for your birthday?" He asks me.
"I don't think so. I know Juliet wants to do something."
"I'm sure the pack will want to throw you a party."
