The Cullens are Back

Bella and Edward returned home the next night. All of the Cullens had came back to Forks once they got the word from Alice that everything was okay with the Volturi. I wanted to see Rosalie and Emmett, but Jake had told me that Embry wanted to talk to me about what happened.

"Jake told me that you tried to go with Alice and Bella," Embry states, his arms crossed and a glare on his face.

"Yes, that's true. I wanted to make sure my sister would be okay."

"I'm literally created to kill vampires and my girlfriend is off trying to save every one of them that she meets!"

"To be fair, not every one that I meet, just the ones I like."

He groans and covers his face with his hands, "what the hell am I going to do with you?"

I walk over to him and hug his waist, his bare chest pressed against me. He doesn't hug back for a moment but finally gives in and wraps his arms around me.

"I'm sorry I tried to leave without telling you," I say softly.

"I just want you to be safe," He replies, holding me tighter.

"I know, I won't do it again," I assure him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"I want to go with you to see the Cullens," He says, looking down at me.

"Okay, that's fair."

Embry grips my hand tightly as we walk up the steps to the Cullen's home.

"This was not at all was I thought it would look like," he says, admiring the beautiful house. I grin with a nod.

Carlisle opens the door as we get to the last step and greets us. I hug him tightly, Em not letting go of my hand as I did.

Em follows behind me still cautious about being his a house filled with vampires. I understand his concern as it is in his blood to want to kill them. I'm so happy he is making an effort for me. He knows I won't stay away from them so he wants to make sure I'll be safe when I can't be with him.

I hug Jasper and Esme as well before I reach Rosalie and Emmett. I grin when I see the pair. They are still just as beautiful as I remember. I let go of Em's hand to tackle Emmett in a hug, "Bear!"

"Ah hi sweetheart!" He picks me up to hug me.

He sets me down after a moment and Rosalie pulls me into her arms, "Hi Maggie."

"Hi Rose," I say softly, finally feeling content. I have all the important people in my life back and they are safe.

"Why don't you tell Rose what Embry here did to you," Alice says, throwing a glare to the wolf.

I roll my eyes and walk back to Embry, he looks uncomfortable so I take his hand back into mine.

"He didn't do anything. He just imprinted on me," I explain to them all what that means.

"You have a wolf claim on my daughter?" Rose asks, shocked. I grin at her calling me her daughter, I knew she felt that way about me but I had never heard her actually call me her daughter.

"Um, yes," Embry replies, putting a protective arm around my shoulders.

"Shouldn't you have to ask for our blessing for that sort of thing?" Emmett jokes.

"I think that's only for marriage," I respond, shrugging.

"At least we know that Maggie will be in good hands," Carlisle intervenes with a smile on his face.
