"Would you stop doing homework and hang out with us?" Emmett groans as he takes a seat across from me

"Would you stop doing homework and hang out with us?" Emmett groans as he takes a seat across from me. I was typing up an essay for history at the Cullen's dining room table. Bella was in Edward's room.

"This is important, Bear," I answer him, not looking up from my laptop.

"What if I help you with it? I'm pretty smart,"

"Only because you've repeated high school over and over," I reply smugly.

He tossed one of the grapes at me that were in the middle of the table. Rosalie caught it before it could hit me in the face.

"Do not be rude to my sweet Magnolia," Rosalie announced, clearly frustrated with Emmett and his tactics to get me off my laptop.

"You should see the way she treats me when you're not around! She's actually evil," Emmett teases me. I do have a tendency to pick on Emmett more when Rosalie isn't around to give me a look of disappointment.

"Whatever, Emmett," Rosalie continues but not before giving him a kiss on the cheek, "Alice wants us to play baseball tonight. Perfect weather."

"Baseball? That seems rather human," I look up at them in amusement.

"It's rather fun, we get pretty competitive. Would you like to come? Bella is going too," Rose answers me.

I shrug, "I suppose I could make time."

Emmett cheers rather loudly and goes to pick me up. Rosalie stops him before he can, "hands off the human. She's fragile,"

"you're so protective," Emmett mumbles, wrapping an arm around Rosalie's waist.

"She just loves me!" I defend her.

"I love you too but I know you're much stronger than you look," Emmett says before sneaking a playful flick to my cheek. I laugh at his sneaky behavior and hug both of them.

Rosalie has turned into the maternal figure I needed in my life and Emmett is just a playful dad trying to get us into trouble all the time.

"Maggie! Are you ready to go?" Bella calls out to me.

"Yeah, i'm coming!" I answer, grabbing my laptop and bag. "I'll see you guys tonight."

"Edward wants to meet Charlie," Bella says to me. She is sat on my bed as I look for something to wear.

"That's good, right?" I ask her, confused at why she seems hesitant.

"I've just never introduced a boyfriend to him before," Bella answers. I could tell she was nervous.

I think back of the first time I introduced a boy to dad that wasn't one of the Quileute boys. It was 8th grade and this boy wanted to take me to the movies. Dad was cleaning his rifle when we walked in. I'm pretty sure the boy almost pissed himself at the sight.

I laugh at the memory and look at Bella, "I think Edward will be okay. Luckily, he is bulletproof."

"Go talk to dad, I'll be down in a few." I tell her. She nods and walks out of my room to talk to our very over protective father.

I finally found an outfit I deemed appropriate for hanging out with a bunch of vampires playing baseball.

I made sure I had on the necklace Embry gave to me before texting him of my plans

I made sure I had on the necklace Embry gave to me before texting him of my plans. Rosalie basically forced me to take the gift of a new phone so that I could text her any time I needed her.

I hear a knock on the front door and smirk, knowing it was Edward about to be in an uncomfortable situation.

I leave my room and head downstairs to hear the end of the conversation, "My family is playing baseball tonight and I wanted to take Bella and Maggie to join." Edward speaks kindly to my father.

I hear my dad scoff in surprise, "Bella playing baseball? Maggie maybe, but definitely not Bella."

"I'm just going to watch," Bella assures him.

"Alright, keep my girls safe and have them home at a decent time,"

"I will, Sir. I promise," Edward promises him.

"Alright, let's go! I want to see Emmett kick your ass," I cheer, making my way out. I stop at the sight of a big jeep. "Holy shit, this has to be Emmett's"

"It definitely is." Edward laughs at my reaction.

"I knew it. There was no way you had your silly volvo and this," I laugh back at him as I make my way towards the massive jeep.

I watch as the vampires play baseball. Bella was participating by helping Esme. I, on the other hand, was wandering around the clearing and admiring my surroundings. I knew Rose was making sure I was no where near the action and kept her eyes on me whenever she wasn't playing. I heard her tell Emmett to keep his eyes on me as well. They really are like my parents, so silly.

Alice gasped out loud and ordered Rose to bring me over to them. "I didn't see them before, they were supposed to leave."

I had no idea what she was talking about but the family came together and Rose pushed me behind Emmett. "I'm so sorry, Maggie. Please just stay quiet," Rosalie orders me. I nod in confusion as I look over at Bella. She looks equally confused and keeps her grip on Edward.

Suddenly, three vampires were in front of us. I barely listened to what they were talking about as I kept looking at the red head.

"A few of us were just leaving, you can take their place," Carlisle tells the strangers.

It all seemed okay until a gust of wind came over us and blew Bella's hair.

"You brought snacks," The leader of the group says. Rosalie did not move from her stance of shielding me, but Edward made the mistake of growling at the leader. Something bad was about to happen.

I was in shock as Emmett took me and Edward took Bella back to the jeep. Bella was freaking out and I was silent.

"We have to get you guys out of here,"

"But Charlie! We can't leave him unprotected!"

I couldn't even listen as Bella explains her plan to Edward and Emmett. All I could think about was Embry. Would I see him again?
