I watch as Sammy tries to carry the little christmas tree she decorated for my dad. Nessie runs out of the car and straight into my dad's arms. It's going to be weird having a normal family christmas with everyone. It's the first christmas that Bella and I are married with children of our own. I know my dad is so excited to have us all here.

"Sammy, do you want me to carry it for you?" I ask her.

"No mummy!" She says, picking it up once more and making her way to my dad. My dad is quick to pick Sammy up with his other arm. It's such a sweet sight to see.

I grab Embry's hand and pull him into the house with me.

"Should we sneak up to your bedroom and make out?" He teases.

"We definitely should," I agree, winking at him.

I go straight to the kitchen to make Embry and Sammy a plate. Jake joins me and I send him a glance.

"I don't have a woman to make my plate for me," He says, chuckling.

I could tell he was hiding the sadness he actually felt about the situation. The situation with Nessie is complicated. We're so unsure of her future.

"I'll make your plate, go sit down," I tell him.

He gives me a sad smile, "thank you, Mags."

I watch as Jake walks into the living room before I turn my attention back to the food. I make plates for Jake and Embry. I feel Bella behind me so I glance back to see her watching me.

"I'll take Jake's plate," She offers.

"Thank you," I say, handing her Jake's plate.

We walk into the living room together and hand the plates to the guys. My dad is sitting with Sue Clearwater. She is Leah and Seth's mother. After her husband, Harry, died, her and my dad started to see each other. They won't even admit that they are together but I think it's sweet.

I sit next to Embry on the floor and watch as Sammy plays with an ornament.

"I haven't had people who actually cared about receiving gifts in years," My dad says with a big smile on his face.

"I'm happy we can do this," I agree.

"This meal is so good," Embry comments.

"You did great, Sue," Jake agrees.

She thanks them both with a laugh.

It's not long before we start exchanging gifts. Jake got Nessie a handmade bracelet and got Sammy a similar bracelet. Bella got Nessie a necklace with a picture of her and Edward in it. I watch as Embry hands Sammy the gift he got her. It's a necklace with the exact charm that he got me all those months ago. A little wolf surrounded by crystals.

"Embry, that's so sweet," I say, looking at my husband with admiration.

"She's fascinated by yours so I thought she deserved her own," Embry explains.

I grin and press a kiss to his lips. He kisses me back and hands me a small box.

I open the box to reveal a ring with his and Sammy's birthstone on it.

"I love it," I grin, kissing him harder this time

"I love it," I grin, kissing him harder this time.

He chuckles against my lips and helps me put the ring on.

"My two favorite people," I hum.

"You're our favorite person too," He says, lacing our fingers together.

I lean my head against his shoulder and try to enjoy this day. It's soon that my loved ones have to face the Volturi and I have to make the choice on if I want to stand with them. If I didn't have Sammy, there would be no question. I would stand with them until the end but now I her to think about. I'm at a loss of what to do.

I glance at Bella as our dad opens the gift she got him. An out of town trip the weekend the Volturi is coming.

My sister glances back at me and I point to the direction of outside. She nods and makes her move first. We both excuse ourselves and head outside together.

"Are you okay?" Bella asks me once we are outside.

"Let's walk some," I suggest.

We are too close for listening ears and I really needed to talk to Bella in private.

She nods and we begin racing through the woods. Once we are far enough, we slow down.

"I know you have a plan for Renesmee if this goes bad," I tell her.

"I have a passport for her and Jake to flee. I'm going to have Jake get her out of there at any sign of it going down badly," She explains.

"I really think I need a similar plan if I choose to stand with you. I want Embry to stay alive for Sammy," I state, looking down at the ground.

"He's not doing to want to leave you," She points out.

"That's exactly what I'm worried about. I've been going back and forth on what to do. I don't want to leave my family to stand without me but Sammy means everything to me," I state.

"I know she does. I'll forgive you if you don't stand with us, I promise," Bella says, pulling me into a awkward hug.

"I'm just so scared," I admit, hugging my older sister tightly.

"I'm scared too. I wanted to spend forever with Edward and that may get taken away over a misunderstanding," She says, sighing.

"Aro will have to listen with all the witnesses we have, right?"

"I really hope so," She says, letting go of me.

I hesitantly let go of her, "I'm sure Alice will save the day."

"I wish I knew where she was," Bella mumbles.

"I'm sure she's out there looking for someone that will help us. She wouldn't have just left us for no reason," I reassure her.

"I hope you're right," She says, wrapping her arm around my shoulders and leading me back towards the house.
