Embry's Pov Things changed once Sammy came into our lives. It's like I had known her from somewhere, then I realized I did. When I imprinted on Maggie and seen flashes of our future, Sammy was there. She was always meant to be with us, I just assumed it was going to be a child of our own.
My priorities changed, I no longer cared about obeying Sam. I broke out of the pack and joined Jacob's which I should have done at the start of all of this mess.
"Emmy!" Sammy calls to me, pulling me out of the nap I was taking. I feel arms wrap around my neck.
I open my eyes and meet the green eyes of my favorite little girl. I wrap my arms around her and yawn, "what's up?"
"Maggie told me to wake you for lunch."
"Where's Jake?" I ask her.
She shrugs her little shoulders, "outside I think."
"Okay, let's go," I say, setting her on the bed beside me and standing up. I slip on a shirt and pick her back up.
She wraps her arm around my neck as I make my way downstairs. Esme had prepared grilled cheeses for the pack and Sammy. Bella hasn't been able to keep anything down with this little monster inside of her. It's like literally sucking the life out of her.
"Thank you, Esme," I say, grabbing a plate and getting a sandwich for both Sammy and I.
"Of course! Let me know if you guys are still hungry," Esme replies.
The tension in the living room is very high but that's where Maggie is so I make my way in there anyway. She's sitting across from Bella, her eyes trained on her. Bella looks miserable as her stomach has grown so much the past couple weeks.
Maggie makes eye contact with me and makes room for us on the couch beside her. I drop Sammy down gently beside Maggie and take a seat on the other side of her. Sammy quickly grabs her sandwich from me.
"So Bella has baby names picked out," Rose says as Jake walks into the living room with food of his own.
"oh really? What are they?" Jake asks, squeezing in beside me. I give him a look, but pull Maggie onto my lap so he can fit.
"Well... if it's a boy, EJ. Edward and Jacob," Bella says making me scoff. Maggie quickly elbows me.
"That one's not so bad," Rosalie mumbles.
"and for a girl, I was playing with our moms' names, Renee and Esme, and came up with Renesmee."
Jacob tries to repeat Renesmee, messing it up. I laugh at him and he throws me a dirty look.
"I think it's beautiful, I know Esme will love it," Maggie says with a smile.
"Please don't name the kid EJ," I state. Sammy giggles at me.
