I've been trying to separate my time evenly between the Cullens, the pack, and my dad. It's exhausting and if I was human, i'm pretty sure I'd need to sleep for a thousand years to recover. Bella's baby is growing at a crazy amount and Jacob found out. I know Sam wants to kill the baby if it kills Bella. Embry is at a lost of what to do. He wants to be there for me but he also can't disobey his alpha. I'm not even sure what to do. I love each of the wolves and they can't hurt me so it wouldn't be an even fight if I had to help the Cullens. Which I will because Bella is my sister.

My phone rings and I answer immediately, "hi daddy."

"Hi sweetheart, i'm going to need you to come over here," my dad says through the phone.

"Okay, i'll be there soon," I tell him, hanging up.

I grab my jacket and car keys knowing it was necessary to appear human around my dad to keep him safe from the psycho volturi.

It doesn't take me long to get to the familiar home of my childhood and I walk inside, "dad?"

"In the kitchen, mags."

I make my way in there and i'm met with my dad decorating a cake with a little girl. She looks about four with light hair and fare skin.

"Who is this?" I ask confused

"Who is this?" I ask confused.

"You might want to sit down for this," my dad says, pulling out a kitchen chair for me to sit in.

I sit down and wait for him to explain the random little girl in his kitchen.

"Your mom stopped by here," he states.

"my mom?" I ask confused, i've never even met the woman.

"I at least assume it was her. There was a knock on my door and when i opened it, this little girl was here with a bag and a letter," he explains.

"Can I see the letter?" I ask.

"Of course," he says, handing over an envelope.

I slowly open the letter and read the words carefully,

"My dearest Magnolia,
I know that you do not know me and I left shortly after I gave birth to you. That is something I will regret greatly everyday I am alive. You do not have to understand my reasons or ever forgive me for it, just know that I will always love you. I am going through a complicated relationship right now and I cannot keep your younger sister in this environment. I fear for her safety. Her name is Samantha and she is three years old. She is so bright and I know she will love you. I have told her about you so she knows exactly who you are. I hope you will take care of her and love her as your own since I could not. Keep each other safe and remember how much I love both of you girls.

Your mother,
Lillian Ramirez"

I set the letter down is disbelief, "she's abandoning her?" I ask quietly so Samantha can't hear me.

"It appears that way," my dad says with a frown.

"Can she even do that?"

"Technically, yes. She also included papers that indicate she is giving away her rights and declaring you legal guardian," He explains, nodding towards another pile of papers.

I scoff and look over at the little girl. She is playing with the raspberries. I get up and walk to her. I squat down so that I'm at her level, "Hi Samantha."

"Hi Maggie," she answers, looking at me.

"You know who I am?" I ask softly.

She nods, "mommy told me that you are my big sister. That you would be my new mommy since she can't be."

I frown. She speaks so clearly for her age but to be fair, I haven't been around many kids. She seems so sweet too.

"Do you know where mommy went?" I ask her.

She shrugs her little shoulders and goes back to playing with the raspberries.

I stand up straight and look at my dad, "can you please watch her while I figure something out?"

"Of course," he answers.

I nod and grab Samantha's bag, giving it a
quick smell to gather up Lillian's scent. I think it's time I have a little chat with my dear mother.

I find her quickly, following her scent to a big house outside of the seattle city limits. I look around in disbelief before knocking on the door rather aggressively.

A few moments laters, a woman opens the door and gasps. She must be Lillian.

"Magnolia, what are you doing here?" she asks, shocked.

"I'm here to confront you obviously," I glare at her, "first you abandon me and now you're abandoning Samantha?"

"She's not safe here!"

"Not safe here with you maybe! You're a selfish woman who has children then abandons them like they are nothing. Even if she wasn't safe here, why would you not leave with her? shouldn't she mean more to you than all of this?"

"It's not that simple. If I leave here, i'll have nothing."

"Your daughter should be worth everything to you!"

"Well now she has you, she doesn't need me," she snaps back at me.

"You're right. She will never need you. She will never have to lie awake at night wondering why she wasn't good enough for her mom to stay. She'll never have to see other children with their moms and feel sad because I will always be there. She won't even remember your name!" I yell before turning away without giving her a chance to reply.

I'm back at my dad's quickly and I walk inside.

"Alice sent over a car seat, did you call her?" my dad asks.

"Yeah that's what I was doing, trying to get things ready for her back at the Cullens," I tell him.

"You guys aren't staying?" He asks quietly.

I look at him and sigh softly. I walk over to him and hug him gently, "Things are so crazy right now, daddy. I'd feel better being over there with her."

"Okay, just make sure you bring her around. She happens to like me a lot."

"well who wouldn't like you, old man?" I grin up at him.

"old man, yeah sure," he huffs.

I laugh and pull away from him, "are you ready to see your new home, Samantha?"

"Yes, Maggie!" she grins, "can we bring my cake too?"

"Of course! Your grandma Esme will love to see how talented you are," I tell her as I put her cake in a container to take with us.

"I have a grandma?" She gasps.

"and a grandpa! he's a doctor."

"wow!" She says excited.

On the car ride to the house, I tell her about everyone she'll meet so she will know what to expect. I know Alice seen this coming and has already told everyone so at least I don't have to worry about that.

I help Samantha out of the car and hold her hand as we walk into the big house full of vampires. Oh tiny human, how your life is going to change in such an incredible way.
