Chapter 22

Siri POV

Last night, Jimin said I should tell Jungkook the truth and I think so too.

It's time he knew Justin is his son and maybe he can put his dad in his place since he's the CEO of his dad's company now. Maybe he can stop his dad from possibly harming me and my loved ones.

Namjoon went away yesterday for a business trip and won't be back till Monday morning so it's just Jungkook and I at work. Jimin offered to look after Justin since he's still feeling a little unwell but that works out well as Jimin can work from home with his IT job.

Jungkook's been avoiding me all day and has been blunt with me and I don't know why. It's almost the end of the day and I decided to talk to him. I wondered what happened within the 24 hours since I last saw him.

"Hey Jungkook, can I talk to you? Please?" I said softly as I stood by his door.

He glanced up at me once with a blank expression and nodded his head for me to come in.

"What do you need Serena?"

Serena? He doesn't usually call me by my name... usually it's Siri...

Siri: "Is everything ok? You've been acting strange all day..."

"Everything is fine. Just busy. Have extra work since Namjoon is gone."

Ohh I see. He's a little stressed. Well that makes sense now. Ok, at least I know I can still talk to him.

Siri: "Can I say something else?"

He nodded his head for me to continue, still giving me a blank expression.

"After seeing your parents yesterday, I think there's something you should know..."

He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at me, his tongue poking the inside of his cheek. He looked kinda sexy doing that...

Siri: "I want to be honest with you... This is something I've been wanting to tell you since the beginning. I promise you, I really wanted to tell you..." I pleaded with my eyes for him to understand.

"Go on." Was all he said.

"Jungkook... You are Justin's father."

He didn't move. His face didn't even change. He just stared at me. Well more like glared at me.

"Jungkook? Did you hear-"

"Oh I heard you. Crystal clear. What I want to know is why are you lying to me about this."

"W-what? Justin is your son Jungkook. I'm not-."

He slammed a fist onto his desk and stood up angrily, looking at me with hate in his eyes. His sudden action made me flinch and my heart started racing.

"Stop with the charade! My parents told me the truth! You lied and told them you were pregnant with my child just to get money from us! And here you are trying to use the same story on me now! Tell me, how'd you spend my family's money? Was $500,000 enough? Do you want me to give you another $500,000? Or shall I give you a million dollars this time?"

"W-what?" I squeaked out in disbelief.

He scoffed and rolled his eyes then continued glaring at me.

"My father told me he was suspicious about your story and he had a private investigator get a DNA sample off Justin which confirmed Justin is NOT mine. They even found his birth certificate doesn't even have the name of his father!"
