Instincts, fight or flight?

Natasha pov

"Take your hands off me" i say angrily but Y/n only gives me a silencing look. Making me stop resisting. What is her plan? She has to have one if she gave us up.

"Seperate those two" the man says, pointing between me and her. I expected her to fight against it but she doesn't as they led us into a bigger celler on the lower levels. They truly are fallready. They put her against the cold stone wall and attach chains onto her wrists. Then they do the same to Clint, Tony and then me, in that order. So we are on the opposite side of the room.

"You are never getting out of here" another man says before they all walk out. Now that it's silent, I can't stop myself from asking. Even with the other two present. I had no one left, i was all alone. I can't risk the past repeating itself. That's what she had said. That's the sentence that's on repeat in my head. Because on the way here i realised why. She's scared to open up to the fact that she could lose me, like she lost Daniel.

"About earlier..." i start but she cuts me off quickly.

"Does this really seem like the time to start again?"

"Not, but you can't really walk away from me this time"

"Seriously, we're on a mission right now"

"I don't care, we are important"

"She is my granddaughter"

"And i am your fiance"

"And i don't care, you either focus on the mission or teleport us out of here"

"Then why don't you let me?"

"Just shut up, the both of you" Tony cuts in and i realise that we had started yelling at each other. There is a silence before someone starts laughing, rather, she starts laughing. While we all just look at you.

"How is this funny?" Clint asks, making her laugh even more.

"The people who put us here are just so stupied" she takes a breath before continuing to laugh. "It's just..." she can't finish her sentence before laughing again. And as i feel the tickling of our magic in my veins and realise why she's laughing, making me let out a laugh as well. They removed the power dampeners when they chained us to the walls. Which means we can both use our powers, not much but it should be enough.

"What is the matter with you two? Just a few seconds ago you were literally screaming at each other and now you're laughing" Tony says but we don't stop laughing, only slows it down.

"It's just..." she starts and the chains around her wrists freeze. And when she pulls, they shatter. "... that i can do that"

"If you could've used your powers this whole time then why let us get captured" Clint asks, even though he might see this the same way Y/n does.

"To find Diana, being leed in is better than trying to sneak into a place where you don't have eyes"

"What do you want with her?" a weak voice asks deeper into the room, hiding in the shadow. As the figure comes more into the light, i see her eyes. She's about to say something else but then she lays her eyes on Y/N. "It's you"

"How do you know who she is?" Tony asks, protectively.

"I'm her granddaughter" she answers, stepping fully into the light.

"Diana? You're okay" Y/n breathes out but doesn't take a step closer to the woman.

"Yeah, but they took my baby Nona" she looks like she's going to break, but doesn't even have the energy to do it. A tear starts to fall down her cheek and i can see that she's been crying for a long time. Diana takes a step forward and almost falls into Y/n's protective arms.

"We're going to get both you and your baby out of here, i promise" she says, letting Diana cry into her shoulder. It feels weird, Diana being a little older than Y/n. but i guess it's a part of my new normal, since i'm marrying her.

"I would hate to break up the reunion, but we need to find Wanda aswell" Clint interrupts and they let go of each other.

"Right, sorry" Y/n says, making her way over to Clint, putting her hands on the chains, freezing them. She does the same to Tony but when she comes over to me she just meets my gaze for a whole second. The door on the other side of the bridge in our minds is closed but i can see her thoughts in her eyes instead. Then she breaks me free as well.

"So, what is the plan?" Tony asks and she just looks at him. "You do have a plan, don't you?"

"I honestly didn't think they'd be stupid enough to think they could lock me up like this. Which mean they're not a part of Hydra, or else they would have known that"

"So make up a new plan then, it's what you're best at" Tony says, walking towards the door and opening it. I expect an alarm to go off but it's quiet.

"I'll go get the baby, Nat get Wanda while the rest get out of here" i grab her arms before she starts walking away. We don't look back as we start running down the hall, going to levels further down. The ones said to be in ruins.
