Walking into a trap

Y/n pov

"I'm detecting at least a dozen heat signatures"

"They have reflective panels, meaning it's the only dozen you can see, the outer guards"

"But it could be a hundred more under those panels" Nat says and i just nod in response. "Then maybe we should wait for the soldiers and Asgardians"

"We don't have time to wait, Tony, we need to act" i say, blood rushing through my head with stress.

"We need them, they'll have a plan"

"I'm a soldier, i might not be on super serum but i'm still a soldier. I have powers, i was trained by Asgardian soldiers and i can't die" i say as we start to descend to the ground in the woods. A noise rushes through the comms with words none of us can understand. Like there is some kind of interference with the signal. I look up at Tony and Clint, but they don't know what's happening either. That's until i hear Loki's panicked voice inside my head.

"It's a trap Y/n, you need to get out of there"

"Fuck, it's a trap, close the ramp" i say but it's too late, the ramp is already open and more than a dozen men are standing there with every gun pointed at... well mostly me, then Wanda and the others.

"Drop your weapons" one of them calls out and i almost start laughing, but i hold it in. It's me, Wanda, Tony, Clint and Nat here. Most of us are the weapons. But we do as they say, taking my utility belt off and giving it to them. Nat and Clint do the same.

"Hands where i can see them" another one calls out and once again we do as they say. I know i can take them out, but it's too risky. They put on power dampening cuffs on me and Nat, while they subdate Wanda knowing that she can work through them. And relatively normal cuffs on the other two. I can feel how they empty my powers, my energy, her energy. They take Tony's suit from his pocket and put it in the pile with the rest of our weapons.

"Start walking"

Bucky pov

"How could you send your mother, my sister, into a trap" i say angrily as i press Ingrid hard against the wall.

"I didn't want to but they were going to kill Diana and i know my mother can survive anything"

"No, she can't. Only a month ago she almost died" she reacts to my words.

"Let her go, Buck" Steve says, forcing me to let her down onto the ground again.

"I didn't know that, but from what i've known is that she can take care of herself. She's Y/n Barnes, she's a survivor"

"She's with the team, she'll gladly jump in front of them for a bullet. They know to use wooden bullets, that can kill her" Steve continues but i cut him off.

"Natasha's with her, she'll do anything to ensure that she gets out. Including taking another bullet or even a bomb."

"As a mother she'll understand why i had to do what i've done"

"But she's not a mother, she never raised you. If she had raised you, you would know that we Barnes don't leave another behind or sell the other one out. Because no matter what, your family, and family always finds another way"

"You're right, i wasn't raised in the Barnes family, but i still know the value of family"

"She is supposed to be your family"

"We need to go now" Loki says, appearing in the hallway. "I don't know if she got my warning in time"

"Then suit up, we're going on a trip"
