Natasha pov

I just look him in the eyes, i don't even know where to being my questioning.

"How much time does she have?" i all that comes out of my mouth. I knew it was closer than i first thought, but not this close. I thought it meant a few months, weeks at least. Not hours.

"She won't tell, there is a lot of things she still won't tell us"

"Well now she's gonna tell us all everything and we can figure it out together"

"I think that's too late"

"How come? Didn't you just say that she would decide for herself and that she's probably choosing not to"

"But she did, that's why they are keeping tabs on Daniel, he's the wolf"

"She married her enemy?" and somehow that's the part that's most shocking actually.

"He wasn't her enemy then, and to her, he died"

"I think i'm gonna be sick" i say, covering my mouth. Sam quickly takes out a bucket from under the sink and hands it to me. I don't know what's more disturbing, the fact that her husband is back or that she married me full of lies. KNOWING damn well that her time was running out. I just know that i need to talk to her. So, after deciding not to throw up my lunch, i say. "I need to talk to her, now"

"I know, that's why she's standing right there" i turn around in a little panic to maybe face an angry face. But she's not angry or confused or even sad, she's just empty. And i don't know what to feel right now. I'm mad but i understand, on some level i understand the secrecy of it all.

"Hi mom" an older woman's voice interrupts as she's about to speak and Ingrid comes out the elevator with Diana and the baby behind her.

"Ingrid, Diana, welcome back here" Y/n says, greeting them like nothing was just about to happen. But i guess, having you're already family know you're going to die maybe isn't the best idea.

"Why are we here grandma?" Diana asks and rocks the baby boy in her arms. And that little smile on her face quickly fades

"I just thought that you would like to meet your father" she says to Ingrid.

"How is that possible?"

"I don't really know yet but i would like for you to meet him, if that's okay with you of course"

"Does he even know they exist?" Sam asks, reminding them that we're still there.

"No, he doesn't, but who doesn't like surprises?" Y/n says with a little enthusiasm. And i seem to be the only one to see right through her as she meets my gaze. Her own gaze apologetic.

"You, Y/n, you hate surprises"

I heard them talking about it, Sam had told Natasha everything he and Wanda knew. He broke his promise, and he wondered hwy i have a hard time trusting in people. But since i got interrupted by Ingrid and Diana and the baby they had named after Daniel. Thomas, this second name.

"Give me a few minutes to check if it's safe" i say and they both nod before i enter the room of the White cell. I'm all too familiar with it, even though i didn't spend much time in it, wasn't even technically me. But i didn't like it. And seeing him lie there, on the concrete white floor, twisting and turning in pain, scares me. They had a similar room at Hydra that used to scare me more than anything else. It's not something one would forget. "Daniel? Can you hear me?" he lets out a muffled scream. Nod if you can hear me" and he does. "I have a surprise for you" i open the door, my mind racing at the fact that just one scratch from him could kill me. "I want you to meet your daughter"

"I... I have... a... have a... daughter?" he stammers out in pain. I hate to see him like this but, i don't know what. There's something, like he's about of something bigger, something evil.

"Yes you have, and a granddaughter and a great grandson" i answer with a smile. "But you can't show them this pain, it's not something i want to put them through"

"Just tell me... one... one thing"

"Sure" i stand next to him on the white bed with white sheets and white straps holding him down. Everything is white and clean.

"Why didn't you... come find... find me when you... you got out?" the painful memory of that afternoon hits my heart like a bullet into my head.

"Daniel... i did, but they said you had died"

"When?" he breathes out, straining his voice.

"Two years after i left" i can see a tear in the back of his eyes as he plants his hand on my cheek. The faint sound of multiple heartbeats enters my head and another person enters the room. On the other side of the white coloured glass. Gods how i hate this room.

"Y/n" Natasha says and when i turn to look into her worried and angry eyes, his hand falls back down. "They want to meet him"

"Right, i just need to..." i hesitate at my words, looking back at him when another bone crashing pain comes back. It's been so long since i showed anyone my true face, no one's ever seen me eat either. I breathe and let the cracks flow down my cheeks and fangs break out. There is only fear in his eyes and in the corner of my eye i can see Natasha standing there, studying my new face. The white in my eyes get a darker black red colour and i take my wrist to my mouth and bite. Since the hourglass is close to empty this hurt more than it should. Without a second thought i press the open mouth to his mouth. I let the crangs linger their way back and then fangs too. My eyes go back to a lighter red than before but normal, at least normal for me.

I see how he tries to stand against it but very fast learns to like the taste. That's when i let go and in a second there's just blood, no wound.

"That should help for a little while, but that's all we need" i say, getting up to let him free from his restraints. "But you have to stay on this side of the glass" but as soon as i loosen the restraints he gets ready to throw himself over me, but i hold his shoulders, focusing his eyes on mine as i mumble. "I am a friend, not your enemy, not now"

"Friend, not enemy, not now" he repeats and i let him go. Quickly getting out the door before he can get his mind straight.

"What did you do?" Natasha asks calm, calmer than i would have thought.

"My blood should be able to stop the transformation for a little while, but i don't know for how long. And the eye thing, that was to keep him from attacking me and killing m before i got out of the cell" i don't see the point in lying to her anymore anymore.
