"You can come out now, she's not here" Wanda says through the door.

"I'm just tired, barely got any sleep" i answer but it's not the truth. I did get sleep, dreamless sleep. But now that her arms are no longer around me at all times, i'm afraid to go out and meet Clint and Steve. I can't believe Clint went against it, he's my oldest friend.

"Don't worry, all you need is food and you'll be up and around again" Wanda says, coming into the room to find me curled up in bed. "Come on Nat, everything is going to be okay"

"How can you say that when you're not okay with it yourself" i say before i can stop myself, looking at her figure by the closed door behind her.

"Because i'm on your side, no matter what. Just like when i spend a day with Y/n, i didn't like it but i did it for you"

"That's not the same as accepting that i want to turn"

"Fine, you wanna hear what i think" i don't but i nod anyways. "I think that you are in love, and love makes you do crazy things. But i also think that your love, is the kind of love that soulmates have. I know you don't believe in those but i do, i know they exist." she explains before i can even cut her off with my own words. "That's why i don't have anything against it, it's your choice and if that choice is to live a long life with the one you love. I'm all for it"

"But Steve and Clint, you saw their faces" i want to let a tear fall but i'm not so sure i have any left.

"Me and Bucky are on your side. So is Sam, Loki and we both know Tony won't be against it either since he's such a fan of Y/n. Thor we know will think it's romantic and cute on how you want eternity together." she sits down on the bed next to me. "They'll get over it."

"I'm not so sure they will"

"Well you won't find that out if you lay in bed all day, will you" she pulls the covers off and uses her magic to pull apart the curtains to welcome the spring sun. "I know it's scary but you're getting married today, just focus on that and everything will be alright"

"Since when are you so good with words?" i ask as she pulls me up to sit, throwing me a pair of pants and a shirt.

"Dating Bucky has its perks" she says with an infected smile. And it's not until now that i've finally gotten it confirmed that they're together together. And not just together. "Since he's not that good with words and feelings, i had to take that role. Good thing i get to practise on you"

So we get up and into the kitchen where the remaining are. Steve and Clint... Thor will arrive on the roof at two to pick us up. That's in one hour. I don't how to act as i sit at the table, the far end, away from them.

"Coffee?" Clint asks as he goes to fill up his own cup. I'm not entirely sure if he's asking me, Wanda or Steve. But i get my answer soon enough. "Nat? You want some coffee?"

"Yeah, sure" i get out and he fills up my cup. If it weren't for the apologetic gaze i would have thought that we were playing out like yesterday never happened. I wouldn't be able to do that. He pours up Wanda's cup as well, but not Steve's.

"Does everyone have everything packed?" Wanda tries to start a conversation that i know she'll lead into yesterday's conversation.

"Yes, i've got everything packed" Clint answers with a smile, a smile i've missed, a smile towards me.

"Y/n packed our things, so i don't have much to bring. Since she also has a closet full of things there since last time" i answer and the heavy feeling i had starts to lift half as Clint seems to be more inclined to support me rather than neglect me fully.

"Just explain one thing for me" Steve says and i guess there's no need for Wanda to steer in the conversation on that anymore as he brought it up himself.

"Sure" i answer as i want it to be over as i almost shug my coffee, burning my tongue.

"Why choose a life where you can't have a home for more than a few years rather than a life where you can live in that home until you die?"

"Because Steve, she is my home. And i don't want to grow old without her"

"Then why not find a way for her to become human again" his words strike me as i actually never thought about that.

"Because she can't" Wanda answers instead and now i wonder what the two of them have been talking about the last couple days. "Y/n and i looked into those options, none of them were worth the price"

"What price?"

"Everything comes at a price. And breaking her curse of immortality would change her too much, she would be unrecognisable to us." she had looked into it... for me. For the possibility for us to grow old together. He seems to chew on their words as he looks down into the table, almost burning through it.

"If it's what you want?"

"It is"

"Then i'm no one to stand against you. I don't like it, but if it's what makes you happy, i'll be with you" he meets my gaze with a half smile and all that heavy feeling now lifts from my heart.

"Thanks. And i know it's a big change and a big decision, but it really means a lot to me that you're on my side" i smile at them and even though i would still like nothing more than y/n's arms, Wanda's arms are good enough for now as she wraps them around my shoulders.

Everything will be worth it, the constant moving, running, hiding. Because as long as i have Y/n, i'll be home.
