Wanda pov

"... before i die"

"What do you mean before you die? You're immortal, you can't die" i say, all confused at what she's saying.

"I can, thanks to a failsafe in the serum. I thought i had burned every file copy of it, but apparently not. There is a man out there who has that file, and this" she says, showing me her burned wrist that is covered in frost. "Is only the beginning"

"We have to do something, there must be something we can do"

"There isn't, just please don't tell Nat, i don't want her to panic"

"How long do we have?"

"Promise me you won't tell her"

"How long do we have?"

"I don't know, he'll probably drag it out, a lot. To make me suffer"

"Who is he?"

"I don't know" is a lie. "But he doesn't have full control over it, he only started it and now i'll feel everything as if i'm human, my senses will betray me and the magic that she and i share, will come crumbling down if we use it." i can't imagine the destruction that crumbling could end with. "Now, promise me you won't tell her"

"I promise, i don't get why, but i promise" i say before leaving. She tries to say something else but i'm already out of there. I don't really know what to do right now, so instead of returning to the kitchen i go down to the track and start running. Just so that i can think of ways to prove her wrong. I can save her, we can save her. We're the most powerful team of superheroes on earth. There must be something that we can do.

"How much longer?" i ask impatiently as Y/n lays beside me under the covers.

"Four more days honey, and then we'll be all alone for a whole month" she answer, pulling me close, hands around my waist. She mumbles into the beck off my neck. "My wife"

"I'm hungry" i say and she laughs at how i ruined the perfect moment. "Could i get breakfast in bed?"

"Nope" she says and i pout as she frees herself from my entanglement. "But i'll make you some"

"I'm too tired to get up"

"Well that's too bad, because the food will be served in the kitchen with the team" i find a smile on my lips every time she calls them the team. Not specifically my team, just the team. it's more inducing and that she's a part of it.

"I'll be done in a minute" she says before exiting our room. I still manage to give myself butterflies everytime i think of it as our room. I can't wait anymore. But i don't know what i'm looking forward to most. The ceremony, the party or the honeymoon? But a knock interrupts my daydreaming and Wanda enters, making me sit up.

"Breakfast is ready" she says and i sign back onto the bed. "How are you feeling?"

"Peachy" is all i answer as she drags me out of bed and a sickening feeling swallows me for a second before it disappears again. I hate waking up early.

"You sure?" Wanda asks and i give her a questioning look. "You looked like you were going green"

"I felt like it too, but i'm just not used to waking up this early" i answer before she can say anything else about it. I take a deep breath and take my robe out of her hand. Wrapping it around me as i walk out into the kitchen.

"... never do that" i hear Y/n finish her sentence.

"Never do what?" i ask as we walk in. Can't be something secret since she had heard me coming.

Y/n pov

"Wouldn't you like to know" i answer with a teasing tone. It surprises me that i didn't hear her coming. My senses are giving up on me, faster than i'd care to admit. "I'm kidding, we're talking after the honeymoon. They're trying to dig up information"

"Oh" i breath out as i come in. "We can tell them, if you're okay with it"

"You know you're the one who's telling them, it was your decision" Y/n says like she's about to leave me to it. But she sits down next to me, placing a plate full of food in front of me.

"Why are you being so secretive and making it such a big deal?" Clint asks as he passes Nat the sugar for her coffee.

"Because this is a big deal Clint, and even though we're missing a few, i think it's time you guys know" Natasha begins i feel the lump in her stomach. They're her family, she'll care what they think. "Y/n's turning me" and it's quiet, like no one gets what she just said.

"When you say 'turning' you mean... into a..." Steve can't even say the word.

"Vampire" she finishes his sentence and they all now look at me.

"I've tried to talk her out of it, i swear" i say, holding my hands up in defence. The silence comes back and no one can do anything but stare down into the table and let their food go cold.
