Sam pov - After the dance

"So?" i ask Wanda as she stands back next to me.

"She was on about some curse over her and Bucky and that she doesn't have much time left" that i already knew, about the time at least.

"What's the catch?"

"She gets killed by her natural enemy, a werewolf"

"A werewolf, for real?"

"That's what i said, but nothing more" she seems to think for a second, looking over at Y/n before continuing." She just won't budge"

"Why not? We're trying to save her life" why won't she tell us the whole truth?

"It's her freaking wedding Sam, i'll get her to talk first thing in the morning"

"Fine Wanda, do what you have to do. I'll be over by the cake"

"Then go" she says, still kinda starting Y/n down while she's trying to talk to Tony. Wanda's right, it is her wedding so maybe now is not the best time to push her over the edge. Even if it is to save her life. She's married, it shouldn't have be pushed if she just had been honest from the beginning and told me the whole truth and not just a part of it.

Sam pov - After the cave

"I'll ask angina, so?" i ask right after Wanda opens the door to her room. Not bad actually.

"There's still things she's not saying" she lets me in.

"Why?"

"She doesn't trust me, maybe you should talk to her?"

"What makes you think she'll talk to me if not to you?" Y/n will know that we're working together.

"You're the first one she told about that man at Hydra, she trusts you far more than me"

"How do you know that?" Like how can she be so sure that Y/n doesn't trust her, they've become great friends from where i stand.

"She literally said 'i don't trust you' so"

"And why doesn't she trust you?"

"Because of Natasha, she's like my big sister, i owe her so much that she said that i see her as a part of my responsibility. She said that i only told myself that i like her because she's with Natasha, that the only feeling i have towards her is hate"

"And is that true?"

"You have nothing to do with that. But she said that the only thing we have in common is that we both care for Natasha" this is almost too depressing then what's going on.

"What more did you find out about the curse?" i ask, trying to change the subject since i can sense it's something deeper and emotional. Aka, not something Wanda Maximoff talks about. She's much like Natasha in that matter.

"That she needs to become her enemy to not die"

"Then that's what we'll do"

"It's not that easy, she said that she has a twenty percent chance of surviving the transition"

"Then there's still a chance, we can do it"

"But if she survived she still dies" What? I don't understand a thing coming out of Wanda's mouth and she can see that i don't since she continues to talk. "She's known people, or rather beings, going through it and they come back and on't remember anything about their old life. Not the slightest thing. She would become another person in Y/n's body"

"But what if we savour her memories somehow"

"She said that IF she survives. There's a line of tests that she needs to pass to even survive and she's not so hopeful about those"

"You need to convince her to do it. For you, for us the team and for Natasha" her head jerks up as i mention it being specifically for her.

"How can i make her believe in something she doesn't think she deserves. She will happily die instead of transforming into that wolf. She doesn't what it okay, we'll just have to accept that" but i don't understand why since it could save her anyways, Natasha needs her, her brother needs her whatever he says. Wanda needs her, and she and Steve are like my only friends within the team and i don't want to lose her. No matter what the cost may be. And if that is selfish then. so be it.

Sam pov - Night at home

I stand there in the doorway of Tony's workshop, looking at Y/n mixing something and looking at the multiple screens.

"Are you just gonna stand there and stare or do you need something from me at this hour of the night?" Y/n asks me, breaking my chain of thoughts that aren't really that many. Just that one, that big one.

"I just needed to talk to you Y/n, about what you told Wanda earlier"

"Gods, i should have known that she wasn't working alone on that. You know i got to push her off a cliffs edge" she says with a dry laugh but her reflection on the screen isnt' a happy one. I don't even think she notices that i can see it. She and Natasha have that in common, not wanting to talk and show much feelings.

"I meant about the way for you to survive is to become the enemy"

"Did she also tell you the consequences of that even if i do survive?"

"She did, but what if we stored your memories somewhere and then just put them back when you survive" i say, walking more into the workshop.

"What makes you so sure you can talk me into this if Wanda couldn't huh? What makes you so sure i will survive?"

"You have something to live for, Wanda, your brother, friends and family"

"Even if i did do it, the chances of surviving are smile even if i have something to live for, it's about weather i deserve it or not."

"I think you do"

"You wouldn't if you knew all the things i've done"

"But sill i would, because we're a family and family always forgives no matter what"

"Forgiving isn't always forgetting. And you forgot, i don't fo forgiving or forgetting. SO what makes you think you can convince me of anything?"

"I don't need to, i know that you'll do the right thing for the ones you love, you always do" she looks surprised at my words. But before i walk out the door i add. And when you do that, i'll be waiting to help you whatever your decision is"
