Y/n pov

"Y/n, you can't just walk away in the middle of a conversation" Natasha says as soon as the elevator door opens and reveals me. That is until she notices Ingrid. "You can't bring strangers into the tower, it's against protocol"

"Nat, not now" i lead Ingrid out into the living room, where everyone are still seated. "This is Ingrid Anderson... my daughter" everyone goes quiet and i see how Natasha recognises the features, not only from me but from Daniel and... Sarah. What would have been her name if she'd grown up with us. "Ingrid, this is my brother Bucky and his best friend Steve. My friends Loki and Tony. That's Wanda, Clint and Thor" i point to everyone as i introduce them, it's still silent. Turning to the last person i start to play with the ring on my finger, seeing she's doing the same. "And that's Natasha" i'm unsure for some reason, of what i should call her. With all feelings so conflicted and in front of my daughter who knows less than they do about me. "My fiance"

"How can you be sure that it's your daughter?" Clint asks and i want to roll my eyes, but it's a reasonable question for those who doesn't know. And can't see the similarities between her and Daniel. But Nat can, so can Steve and Bucky.

"Because she's always had her eye on her, not talking or actually seeing, just keeping an eye on her to make sure she was safe" Loki answers and i give him a thankful smile. Even though that's not entirely true, since they have talked before. A long time ago.

"The first thing i did when i woke up was to search her up, took some time but i did" but there is no time for more questions, so before they can open their big mouths again i say. "Enough of that now, you can ask later. Now you have to help me find my grandaughter, Diana" and they react on the fact that it's also my middle name.

"It can't be them vampy, not after what you did" Tony says, referring to me killing Christopher. But i knew that would only be a part of it.

"That didn't take out all of them, that was only the beginning of the fall" i sign. "They must have take her to get to me"

"But how could they know of her?" Ingrid asks, so oblivious, so innocent. But it's a good question, the only information they even had on the continuation of my bloodline was that she was a stillborn. And it ended there.

"If i knew where you were, they probably knew too" i say, not daring to meet her gaze. Natasha comes up beside me, taking her hand in mine as she feels the guilt in my tone.

Natasha pov

"Then we better get going on finding her" Thor says, the first thing he says. "How can we trace her?"

"You should be able to trace her like me. At least i think you can, that's if she... inherited that thing"

"Let's get Ingrid to a safe house while we find Diana" Steve says but Ingrid starts to protest. Saying it's her daughter, her responsibility.

"Well, you're my daughter, that makes you my responsibility and this is my mess. I will get her back, her and the baby, i promise" Y/n says before Ingrid clutches herself to her, in a hug. "Jag älskar dig, dotter (i love you, daughter)"

"Jag älskar dig med mamma (i love you too mom)" Ingrid says before leaving Steve and Bucky. I'm about to say something else, now that she's gone but Y/n stops me with a 'later' face. She also lets go of my hand.

"Now, let's find my granddaughter. Tony, go to the lab and see if Helen can help track. Clint and Wanda, is there any other way to track her, try it" they nod and leave together with Tony. "Loki, you know what to do" he also nods, disappearing in green smoak. "Thor, can you see if Heimdal can see anything, she's not me so maybe he can"

"What can i do?" i ask, but she's not even looking at me, even turning the other way.

"I need to be alone for a moment" she starts to walk away but i grab her arm, turning her around to see a tearful face.

"I can't let you, not when you need someone the most. Remember, this is a promise" i say, showing her both of our rings. "On both ends"

"I still don't know what you see in me. I'm a monster, a villain." and with that she gets out of my grip and disappears down the hall. I don't even know what to say to that, Y/n is not a villain. Sure in some stories, but in mine she's not, not in Loki's either, he said it himself. Yelena also sees her as a hero. Y/n has been forced to do some dark shit in her life, but that makes her a survivor not a villain.
