Chapter 19: The Explanation

Cherry invited Marcia and me to sleep over after the party. So we are all sitting in her room in our pajamas and gossiping.

"That situation with Roger and Twobit was pretty awkward," I say.

"Yeah, I forgot that Two-Bit's real name was Keith," admits Cherry, "I remember Roger talking about getting in a fight with a wisecracking greaser named Keith. I never made the connection. Roger was always jealous of him, but he will never admit it. Two-Bit is such a funny, likable guy, who's easygoing and can talk to anyone. Roger was uptight and anxious. Nobody liked him, so he beat up the likable people. The fight wasn't Two's fault."
