Part 12

"LIA!???"
(Still Jake's pov)

Me and Princy were frozen on the ground, having a staring competition with Lia as she stood thunder stricken at the door. And Heeseung hyung and Ni-ki were just popping their eyes out watching the whole scene.

"Uh-hm Jake?" I came back to my senses when Princy called out my name and realized that I was not supposed to be under her anymore and quickly removed my hands from hers.

She stood up, followed the same by me. The air was dangerously awkward. Not a single person said anything. I nervously looked at Lia and she was still trying to process what she saw a minute ago.

"G-Guys! It's nothing as you all t-think. We b-both accidentally slipped. It was an pure a-accident. R-Right Princy?" Why the hell are you stuttering!?? They'll not believe this you moron!!! I took a long breathe not knowing how to make them believe me because Heeseung hyung and Ni-ki were giving me that displeased expression and Lia? She's expressionless.

"He's stating truth. There's nothing like what you guys saw few minutes ago. We were going to exit the room until I turned around to say something but I wasn't aware that Jake was just behind me and because of the closeness, I got startled and he did too. He stumbled back and because I wasn't fast enough to hold him, he fell and since it's a natural to grab something in order to prevent the fall, he grabbed my hand which made me loose my balance as well. And that's how we both ended up on the ground and THAT'S IT."

She said it in one go. WOW. Taking a long breathe afterwards. Heeseung hyung and Ni-ki were smiling, they believed her. But Lia was still not pleased. She gave me a slight glance before exiting the room, pushing hyung and Ni-ki slightly.

I looked at them and they just gave me a confused look because none of us know why did she react like that? I turned to look at Princy and she was quite tensed. She felt my eyes on her and joint them with me. She was saying something through her eyes and I took it as a signal to follow Lia.

I quickly left the room leaving her with the others and followed Lia's footsteps. Thankfully I was able to catch up with her speed but she was completely ignoring my presence, walking hurriedly towards God knows where.

I was silently following her until she went inside the auditorium. It was empty. I entered after her and decided to lock it, just in case she tries to move out without hearing me. She just stood back facing me, as if she was waiting for me to say something.

I took a quick breathe and decided to break this silence. "Lia-"....."I'm fine. No need to say anything Jake. I believe you and Princy." Her tone was a bit disturbing and frustrated, as if this is not what she wanted to say.

"I know you believe me Lia. But still, at least listen to me once. It was really an accident. She suddenly turned around when I wasn't aware, which made me shocked and I fell backwards. I thought she will be able to save me and that's why I grabbed her hands but I forgot that I'm a boy, I have much more muscle strength than her and ended up pulling her on me. I don't know why am I explaining myself but I thought it's better than letting you misunderstand me. I swear it was nothing Lia."

She slowly turned around with her hands crossed on her chest. I can see a slight smile on her face in this dark room.
"Why would you want to explain it to me so desperately Jake? Am I that important to you?"

My throat was dry hearing her words. I gulped to swallow whatever was left inside my throat. "Jake? You heard me clear. Why would you want to me to be clear about you?" Is it the moment I do the confession? I didn't even prepared anything!!!
