[Jake's pov]
I woke up after a good sleep and was proceeding towards the lounge for breakfast until I got a text. I checked the notification on the screen which was gleaming with Princy's name.
A smile automatically crowned on my face and I immediately opened the chat box to see the message.
(On text)
Princy: Hey....Morning!
Jake: Morning! You woke up early, it's just 8 rn?
*giggles*
Princy: oh please! I do wake up early!
Jake: really? So what's the deal?
Princy: nothing. Just...thought of wishing you morning...
Jake: ahh! 👌 so why don't you join me for breakfast then?
Princy: you're at the lounge?
Jake: I'm otw! Come on, join me!
Princy: but I'm still in bed and I haven't brushed my teeth!
Jake: you've got 10 minutes or I'll be done.
Princy: you'll be done in 10 minutes!? Do you chew your food or gulp it as whole!?? It's important to chew it 30 times at least. Try it and I'll be down in no time.
Jake: will do but you better be on time.
Princy: yes sir 😮💨
I kept on smiling and giggling while texting her. Until I bumped into something or should I say someone? I looked up and saw Lia standing in front of me all dressed up.
"Hey boyfriend!" And there goes my heart skipping a beat. BOY WHAT?
"you called me what? Boyfriend?!!" I couldn't just believe my ears. My eyes couldn't believe what they saw her spelling.
"Yes, you heard it right! Boyfriend. You are Jake. You're a boy and my good friend. So you're a boyfriend. I know it's titled as GUY friend but I prefer the other one. I hope you don't mind that."
I nervously smiled out of suddenness and just nodded.
"Where are you heading to though?"
"To the lounge, for breakfast. What about you? You're all dressed up."
She gave that sweetest and honey like smile that can kill me with no ashes.
"For a sun bath. Morning sun is just too good! You should join me, it's fun."
"I would love to Lia but I want to have my breakfast first. You had it?"
"Naah! I thought I'll do that after sun bath! But since you're going for breakfast, I'll join you then. Let's go!"
She grabbed my hand and walked beside me to the lounge. I glanced at her quick and she looked too happy for my understanding. Her smile never left her lips, and I'm glad for that.
We reached the lounge and took our seats. Guys are still sleeping so I guess it's just me and Lia......and Princy, if she made it on time. It's past 10 minutes when Lia asked me what am I waiting for?
And I just shrugged and decided to get the breakfast with her tailing behind me. I told her to get breakfast for herself and she just smiled at me and nodded like a obedient child. Weird.
We took our plates and settled back down on the table. I thought of texting Princy once more before starting but before I can, Lia took my phone and placed it back down.
"Lia, I have to text-"
"No using your phone while eating. You can text after you're done with your breakfast. Come one take your spoon and have a big bite!"
"Lia, Princy was supposed to join me for breakfast. I've to ask her whether she's coming or not, so can you please give me my phone back?"
