Part 21

[Jake's pov]
Time skipped after lunch.

I always wondered why people like nights more than days? What makes it better when all you can see is darkness in the clouds and silence? I always thought about it's significance. And then I got the answer.

They are chasing the silence and darkness inside them. Empty nights and silence isn't bad. It's peaceful. The best time to look after yourself and all you've done. Breezes are cherry on top. I guess it's the to time relive that has happened to you ever.

Well it can hide tears if you wish for it, it can make the sobs inaudible. You can scream at the sky since it's too far and won't be hurt by your complaints. Stars would always smile at you, even if you're crying at them. It's all a set up by nature.

Hmph.

So deep thoughts right? Well I got nothing to do now that we've done with the dinner as well few minutes ago. Jungwon and Jay are already sleeping. Heeseung hyung and Niki are at the Playstation theater. And Sunoo must be getting ready for bed after his skin care routine. And Princy?

She must be with him. Where else would she be at this hour? Past 10 pm. And here I am, standing on this aft from where I can see the vast ocean, which practically I can't see but can hear the silence. My hair is pushed back with the cruise moving forward.

And even with quietness, my mind dares to speak. It speaks about her. I think about, how amazing it would be if it was me who met her first and not that piece of ice. Why is everything for that ice tray and not me? Lia and her...both for him?

Looks like my mind's got nothing else to reflect on huh! Shift your mind Jake! Shift your-

"What you doing here Jake?"
Here it goes, that voice. Not so honey, but the one I love, that voice. Voice that I was missing. She's here.

I turned around only to get startled and stumble from the closeness. She stood there, just behind me and almost my shoulder touching hers. The moon is shining in her eyes as in completely. Stars made her whole body shine. As if she's the Moon Goddess. Well, it ain't a lie.

I stared a bit too much for which she left a nervous chuckle to bring me back to earth from heaven she showed me just now. I cleared my throat and smiled at her, genuinely and she smiled back with same generosity.

"What are you doing here Jake? Aren't you sleepy?" I just shook my head as no.
"Not really? We aren't here to sleep anyway. Look at this view, isn't it something which snatches away your tiredness? It makes me stay awake for the whole night."

"Yaah! So will you stay up the whole night fr? You know we still have lots to do tomorrow, you'll be tired then."
"I won't, I promise." I looked at her and she just shrugged. "Well If you say so."

Only if I said so.

"You wanna stay too? It's worth it." She slightly lifted her lips up from sides looking in front as me. We both close our eyes, feeling the wind touching our face and our hands freezing from the coldness. But it's all good.

"For a while I guess." And I could just hum in the response. It felt like forever when I peeked my eyes open to look at her. She still has them close. Her hair, they are swaying with the wind. Some of the strands were covering her face, so I removed them from doing so.

And, she opened her eyes feeling my touch on her cheeks. Is that blush I see on her face? Or am I dreaming? She looked at the moon and said
"Isn't that beautiful?" And I said looking at her. "It is."
