Chapter Song- simply the best by Billianne

Avery-

"Excuse me could you take me back?"

I know I'm an idiot. A complete idiot. I don't know why I've just asked the taxi driver to take me back to Harry's address.

I pull my phone out and text him before I change my mind.

Me- If you want to talk, I'm on my way back to your place.
Styles- I'll meet you outside x

The taxi pulls up and he's standing there in the entrance to his building as he said he would be. He walks over to the cab and opens my door. He pays the cab fare and as the cab pulls away, he pulls me into his arms.

"You came back." He whispers as he hugs me.

"I'm an idiot." I reply.

"Here take this." He slides his jacket off and wraps it around me.

"Can I take you somewhere?" He asks.

I nod my head ok.

We walk in silence to the parking garage and he leads us to his black Mercedes and opens my door. He takes his place in the drivers seat and starts the car. He sits there with a look on his face that indicates he wants to say something.

"I'm glad you came back." He says softly.

He backs out of his parking space carefully and pulls out of the garage. He reaches over and places his hand on top of mine that is situated on my lap. He lets out a breath he's been holding once he sees I'm not going to push his hand away.

We head over the Brooklyn bridge and he parks his car in front of a building with no apparent signage indicating where we are. He climbs out and walks over to my side and holds his hand out to help me out of the car.

We walk inside the building and it's modeled after an English pub. It's very low key and Harry seems to know the bartender and the people who work there. The bartender tells him the best table in the house is open for us. Harry takes my hand and we walk to a corner booth that is private.

He sits across from me and nervously fidgets with his hands. He also doesn't seem to want to look me in the eye. We sit in silence for a few minutes before he finally speaks.

"Ava. I'm so sorry. I wish I could take back this entire evening." He says as he runs his fingers through his hair.

"What happened Harry? Why does this keep happening? We take one step forward and ten steps back it seems."

"My heart and my head are in a constant battle Ava." He says softly.

"You can open up to me Harry. You can trust me." I say as I reach across and hold his hand.

"So the last relationship I was in started on a film set. I didn't mean for it to, I wasn't looking for a relationship. We started spending more and more time together and rumors started swirling around about us. You honestly don't know this story?" He asks me.

"Keeping up with Harry Styles gossip wasn't real high on my to do list." I say dryly.

He gives me a weak smile and then continues.

"It was my first big film role. I was excited. I didn't want or need any distractions. One thing led to another and that was that. Jeff said the publicity would be good. He encouraged me to go public with the new relationship and reluctantly I did so. I regretted it immediately. I was labeled a home wrecker because there were kids involved." He sighs.
