Chapter 17
Mehrma POV
It has been an hour since we have hit the road but there hasn't been a single word spoken. I wanted to break this silence badly but I don't know what to do.
Mehema:"Mughey tumsey ek baat kerni hai."
Shahzain:"toh karo."
Mehrma:"I wanted to apologise for my past behaviour. I know I was wrong. And I'm sorry for it. It has been a little awkward for me lately. Gussa mughey phupho,vania aur Muneza ki baaton ka hota hai aur main nikal tum per deti hun. I just dont know if our relationship would..."
Mehrma stopped mid sentence when she saw Shahzain's stoic expression.
Mehrma :"I want a divorce."
Shahzain pulled the brakes so hard that Mehrma almost hit her head.
he turned towards her furiously.
Shahzain:"What do you mean ke tumhey divorce chehye hai." He spoked furiously. Shahzain's eyes were blazing red in anger
Mehrma:"Matlab ke had hoti hai itni dair se bakwas ker rahi hu, wo nahi suni lekin divorce ka lafaz foran sun liya."
Shahzain:"Ainda apney mun se ye lafaz mat nikalna."
Mehrma scoffed and spoke:"okay mughey tumsey khula chehye hai."
Shahzain:" Mar jaonga magar khula nahi dunga. "
Mehrma:"chahtey kya ho tum, na ye rishta agey barhana chahtey ho ,na tum mughey chorna chahtey ho. Chahtey kya ho tum mughsey. "
Shahzain:"ENOUGH!"
Mehrma:"No its not! I need finalisation. Either accept our marriage or either divorce me. Main puri zindagi ye gudda guddi ka khail nahi khail sakhti. "
Shahzain:" Tumhey hamara rishta gudda guddi ka khail lagta hai."
Mehrma:"Aur kya hai. No one knows that we are married. Hum apna past sabsey aisay chupa rahe hai jaisey koi jurm kiya hai.
Even our family doesn't even know that I know about our marriage. Hum dono kab tak chupan chupai khailenge. "
Shahzain sighed, he knew that she was stating the truth. He doesn't say that alone but he had the same thoughts as her.
Shahzain took hold of her hands and spoke;" Samaab ,I can't afford to lose you, hamari shadi ka sab ko pata chalna tumharey liyay khatrey kj baat hai. Remember you asked me why I was breaking up with you two years ago, the reason was kyu ke if I everyone knew at that time that we were together, they wouldn't let me go further in my career. And at that time I had to choose between your safety or our future together and I chose your safety, main har cheek hotey dekh sakta tha magar tumhey kho nahi sakta tha. Muneza was fuming when she got to know that Mehrma and Shahzain went together to attend the wedding.
She was roming in her room fuming, while Alizay was looking at her.
Alizay: "Api kya hua hai. Kuch to batao?"
Muneza:"Mehema aur Shahzain akhatey shaadi attend kerney gai hai."
Alizay:"ooh!"
Muneza:" Ami ko ab baat ker leni chehye merey aur Shahzain ke rishtey ki. Divorce de wo Mehrma ko aur farig karey ussey. "
