Author's POV

Lights were set, flowers were hung, the scent of jasmine and citrus could be smelled all around. Whispers and laughs could be heard from every corner, bright smiles and genuine happiness surrounding the area.

Mahnoor stood a bit far from the stage gazing at her younger sisters. Merhma and Zunaira were busy laughing while Muneza was a blushing mess. Finally she was getting the happiness that she deserved. She has seen 3 of them growing up from kids to beautiful young women and to see them getting there happily ever after's was something Mahnoor will forever be grateful for. Roaming her eyes around a little, she set her eyes on Humza, the man who had stolen Muneza's heart. To say she was shocked when Muneza had told her about him would be an understatement. Muneza's personality was always reserved but she had an attitude, so the fact that she was seeing someone was amusing. Out of the three of them Mahnoor had spent the most less time with Muneza but for some reason Muneza was the person Mahnoor cared about the most. She has always kept her closer, maybe it was the fear of her breaking ties with them or her not being close to her own sisters was something Mahnoor dreaded, so despite her snobbish attitude Mahnoor always kept ker in her line of vision. But Mahnoor was also afraid of the fact that Muneza might become just like their mother......her mother well she was an entirely different story, one that Mahnoor wanted to be different but couldn't change anything. Her trance was broken by someone clearing their throat. She turned around to find Humza standing there.

She had mixed feelings about Humza, she didn't really know the guy that much to make an assumption about him and she hadn't gotten a chance to get to know him. From what she had gathered from Zunaira, the guy's personality was as charming as his face. Her comment had irritated Armaan way more than he liked to admit.

Humza: "Can we talk?" he asked, the guy was nervous which was quite opposite of what people were around her.

Mahnoor: "sure?" she exclaimed, making him give her a nod of appreciation.

Humza: "I am going to get to the point, I think you don't really like me that much. It may be just me but I just wanted to know if I did something wrong." This wasn't what Mahnoor had expected but she liked the fact that he had not run around the bush.

Mahnoor: "Nahi, aisa kuch nahi hai. It's just I don't really know you and I'm just a bit.."

Humza: "worried that if I'm the right guy for Muneza or not.....you have every right to be worried but main apko bas itna bata du ke I won't ever hurt her at least not intentionally." His words carried sincerity which was the only confirmation Mahnoor needed.

Mahnoor: "pehle thi magr ab yaqeen ho gaya that you might be the one for her." Mahnoor smiled at him in the end, making Humza sigh in relief.

Thank Allah who is the most merciful and beneficial of all.
