Chapter 1- A new force

It was a normal day in the military and Ghost is just hiding away from his comrades, as he doesn't like to work with other people or just be around other people usually

General shepherd radioed Ghost and told him to go to the loading dock as he has a job for Ghost to do, once Ghost got to the loading dock a big truck pulled in full of soldiers part of "task force 141".
"Ghost do you copy" Asked general shepherd
"Yes, sir" said Ghost sharply
"You will go with the Sargent" said general shepherd
"Sargent" asked ghost questionably.
As Ghost asked this to general shepherd Sargent John 'soap' MacTavish walked over to Ghost and tapped Ghost on his arm' "good to work with you LT", "I'll save ya a seat" soap said then walked away
"Fucking hell..." said Ghost.
"Ghost do you copy" Asked general Shepherd
"Yes sir" said Ghost slowly walking over to the truck
"Any issues" Asked general shepherd
"Negative, sir" said Ghost sharply.
Ghost got to the truck and looked around to find the only empty seat next to Sargent MacTavish.
Ghost sat down not looking at anyone but everyone was looking at him because Ghost stands out compared to everyone else.

"LT, As we will be working together now, you can call me soap" said soap who is looking at Ghost.
"Okay, soap... you can call me Ghost" said Ghost quietly to soap. The truck went back to silence, then it started moving, "Ghost" said soap
"Yes sir",
"Are you okay?"
"Yes sir, nothing to worry about"
Ghost was looking down at his hands, when soap asked the question,
Ghost had a traumatic past, he had been through a lot in his past. Ghost and soap and more soldiers arrived at the outpost to top up on supplies, as they are travelling very far out of the country.

"Okay soldiers we are staying here overnight, so please go to the sleeping quarters" soap commanded, the rest of the soldiers went into their designated area.
"Ghost" said soap
"Yes sir" Ghost looked at him
"Can you please take point and watch, I'll be out soon to help you, good luck LT" said soap before walking into the outpost.
Ghost got out of the truck and took point and guarded the outpost

1 hour later soap came out with his gun but was not wearing his helmet that shows off his mowhawk. "Hey LT how is it going out here" asked soap handing Ghost a cup of hot chocolate, "thank you soap, it's positive" said Ghost turning his face away so he can pull up his mask and have a sip of his drink.
"Why don't you show your face Ghost" asked soap questionably,
"I don't know, I just don't like my face... I have trust issues... my life is just a mess." Said Ghost quietly while looking at the floor, "sorry Ghost, i didn't know" said soap
"It's okay soap", " just because we are talking does not mean I like you" said Ghost intimidatingly, as Ghost said that soap went back inside.

In the morning everyone packed up their stuff and put it back into the truck. Everyone was in the truck and Ghost walks already in there, zoned out.
"Ghost?" Asked soap
"Yes sir" said Ghost jumping out of his daze, "did you sleep last night Ghost?" Asked soap
"Negative sir, I did not" said Ghost
"Why didn't you LT?", "because no one was awake to take my shift" lied Ghost
"Alright the LT" said soap while going to sit down.

An hour later the truck is moving along the road, Ghost had fallen asleep with his gun in his hand, Soap was talking to his fellow soldiers, till he felt something on his arm.
Soap looked to his side and saw that Ghost had fallen asleep and had fallen into his arm.

"Soap your there" radioed captain price
"Yes sir" soap radioed back
"Are your nearly here" asked price
"Nearly", " I've got to wake Ghost up" said soap
"Why is he asleep soap" questioned price
"He didn't get much sleep he was on watch last night" answered soap
"Alright then", "let me know when you get here"responded price
"Will do captain" radioed soap.
Soap woke Ghost up and Ghost sat up and was embarrassed as he fell asleep on soap.

"Captain we are here" radioed soap
"Alright soap can you and Ghost come to the briefing room" radioed price
"Yes sir" radioed Ghost sharply, answering for soap.
Soap and Ghost walked over to the briefing room to meet captain Price snd Gaz.
"We're here captain" said soap loudly
"Welcome soap" said price while patting him on the back,
"Good to see you again Simon" ....
