Loved and Lost :Alternative

A/n:I have written "Loved and Lost" as the 17 th one shot in this collection of Vmin one shots.It bothered me for the longest time how I had written it without a heartwarming closure.So I sat down and wrote this alternative ending.

In case you don't wanna read,a quick recap: Taehyung and Jimin's child passed away locked up in a cupboard while playing hide and seek with Taehyung.

Jimin spread his clothes over the line,his eyes in a haze looking at something far.Everything was overwhelming and he knew if he stood there for another minute,he would dissolve into tears.So he shook his head and fastened his pace and shut the balcony door after him.The room was pitch dark when he stepped in ,the lights overhead was a low glimmering yellow earlier and Taehyung might have turned it off completely which means he was probably lying on the couch in the living room.

Jimin entered the kitchen and looked around,both of them hadn't ate anything for the morning or lunch but after hearing a handful of annoying check ins and scolding from their friends and family, Taehyung was the one who suggested that they should eat something.Jimin went through the kitchen cabins and fridge that Jungkook had filled earlier in the morning and he didn't have the energy to cook anything despite the abundance of ingredients.He pulled out a double pack of Taehyung's favourite ramen and set to cook it.

He was once again lost in his thoughts,waiting for the water to boil up.His hand slid against the hot pot and he let out a hiss.A head came up the couch and asked,"Are you okay?"
Jimin only hummed back and the apartment was plunged into silence again.Jimin mindlessly plated their food into two bowls and brought it to the couch.He placed them on the tea table and said,"Get up.."
Taehyung looked up and sighed, Jimin looked borderline annoyed.Not that he really was,he just looked irritated was all.Taehyung sat up and Jimin sat by him and leant against the couch,after passing one bowl to Taehyung.

Taehyung stared at the red concoction,noodles swimming in the hot liquid and despite not having a decent meal for months now ,he had no inclination or appetite for it.So he put it back and turned to look at Jimin.Jimin stared at him intently and starting pushing the ramen into his mouth ,his cheeks puffing up as more noodles got pushed in without mercy.
"Jimin,eat slowly", Taehyung said and Jimin didn't listen,He shoved more and more and Taehyung was alarmed that the boy was going to choke.
"Jimin-", Taehyung tried to hold his hand only for the other to shake off completely.He leant forward to tap at Taehyung's bowl ,asking the younger to eat.
"Will you stop this if I eat?", Taehyung asked and Jimin nodded slowly,his eyes now swimming with unspend tears.

Jimin watched Taehyung empty his bowl and left him in the room again.When he took them to sink, Taehyung's voice came,"I'll wash them,Leave it in the sink"
A small smile appeared on Jimin's face ,the first of its kind since that day and he almost felt guilty for smiling.

The night fell and Taehyung had washed the plates in the sink,it's not that Jimin can't do it,It's just Jimin wanted Taehyung top do something than couping up in his room.They had changed their apartment since the incident,send everything their son owned to a children's home,attended their counselling properly while Taehyung's mother stayed with them for over a month.Their friends frequented once in a while and  Jimin even was able to get back to work.He didn't like being closed up in home cause there was nothing to do at home.When his mind was idle,it brought him memories and he could only cry so he busied himself in the mundane office work.

When he got home,he stood under shower for hours and went straight to bed without a word.The pair would always face away as they stayed awake,unable to talk or share the grief properly.Taehyung too returned to work only for him to take another week leave and Jimin decided they should do this together and took his leave to stay with the younger for a while.
