Jimin looked past the threshold and he could see Taehyung right outside the flower shop talking to a girl. The girl was blushing and Jimin had half a mind to blame it on the retreating winter but it was not that at all.He tried to act busy, spraying water at the chrysanthemums when Taehyung bid her goodbye and walked in.
"Good morning,Jimin",He called out as he took off his coat.
"Morning",Jimin mumbled back, only to be surprised by the younger's sudden proximity.
"I picked up coffee for you",He said, extending the coffee to Jimin.
"Thanks",Jimin was positively flushed at the little things Taehyung did for him.The younger tied his apron behind him as he started the day's work.He was chatting away and Jimin worried his lips althrough it.
"Hey,by the way,I have to take off early today. Can you cover for me?"
Jimin turned around,"uh,yeah..sure"
"You're a life saviour.I have this dinner that I have to go"
"Oh..",Jimin started unsure,"like a date?"
For that, Taehyung laughed and Jimin wanted to throw something at him for mocking his broken heart.
"No,My mother wants us to get together..like a family dinner", Taehyung said.He stopped for a moment before adding,"I am still single,in case you are wondering"
Jimin's eyebrows disappeared into the maine of a blonde hair before he smiled awkwardly,"why would I...wonder?"
Taehyung only shrugged,"Just saying"

Jimin hurriedly sipped his coffee in efforts to avoid further conversation with the bane of his existence.

Taehyung liked to share little anecdotes about his adventures and university life and Jimin was more of a silent listener, except for when Taehyung urges Jimin to share his routine at the dance studio.
"You will invite me to the opening, right? I am dying to see you dance", Taehyung commented, his lunch laying untouched infront of him.Jimin had a feeling that he was hanging onto every word he had said.
"I'll save a ticket for you",Jimin said, stabbing his chopsticks into a mandu.
"Cute", Taehyung said,as he slid his thumb under Jimin's lips, collecting residue of a dumpling.Jimin cleared his throat and say back.
"Jimin"
"Mm?"
"Why did you assume it was a date?"
"What?",Jimin tilted his head in confusion.
"Earlier when I said -"
"Oh..it's just...it's valentine's eve and almost everyone I know has a date and all that",Jimin waved his hand in the air to prove a point.
"Do you have a date?", Taehyung asked non-chalantly and Jimin almost felt pathetic for saying things before.
He shook his head slowly,"No"
Taehyung looked up at him, studying him for a second before smiling,"Well, that's a relief"

Jimin's face twisted in annoyance,"why?"
"Cause..", Taehyung set his chopsticks down before straightening up,"cause then I can take you out on a date"
"What?"
"Say I'll finish up my dinner by nine and then pick you at your house"
"Taehyung,what...what are you saying?"
"Unless you want to play this painful pining game of cat and mouse that has been going on between us for ages.I am taking a leap of faith here,Jimin"
Jimin stared and stared into the adorable eyes of Kim Taehyung and found himself smiling.
"I think I got it right then", Taehyung couldn't help but lean over and kiss Jimin's cheeks.
"Taehyung!!"
"You should get used to it,Jiminie..I am a very clingy person and am going to do more of that to you", Taehyung said, and Jimin wanted to dig a hole and hide inside it for eternity to hide the pink creeping up his skin.
