Taehyung was on a date when Jungkook called him up to ask about Jimin.Apparently,there had been no response from him since the afternoon.He had promised Jungkook ro meet him up at the old arcade building.Now nearly an hour past, Jungkook was growing worried about the calls going unanswered.Taehyung couldn't listen to anything the girl was saying and it went right over his head.
"Are you okay?",She finally grew tired of her uninterested blind date and asked.Taehyung couldn't sit anymore so he excused and apologized.Maybe he could meet her some other time but he wasn't sure if she would agree.Taehyung chucked his coat at the back of his car and checked his rear view mirror, simultaneously calling Jimin.The phone kept on ringing.

The messages in the group were frantic and each of the five had chosen an area and were looking around.Taehyung could not think of a place that he could have possibly gone,was there something he had missed? some kind of sign? Taehyung had a feeling that this was Jimin just trying to get back at him.The elder had been silent since Taehyung had told him that he was seeing this girl.Jimin had sabotaged,atleast in Taehyung's words,several of his relationships before.Jin would argue that it was never Jimin,but Taehyung's own paranoid self that pulls him back to Jimin.Jimin only asked how his date went and Taehyung would immediately blow upon him and ask why the elder took so much interest on his love life.Eventually Jimin had stopped asking.It wasn't necessarily a fall out between the two.They still hung out alone,had sleepovers and went to clubs.

He had driven around the town till past eleven,when Hoseok finally texted in the group that he found Jimin.Taehyubg swore under his breath before driving down Hannamdong to get to where everyone were.He slammed the car door before walking towards the boys.Jimin sat a little far from the others,absent minded on a swing in the park.

Taehyung pushed through the others,"Jimin!! The fck are you doing-"
Yoongi and Jungkook tried to stop him,but he had pushed them aside to get to Jimin.He came to stand infront of the elder and Jimin refused to look up.
"What do you want from me?Why do you have to include everyone in this shitty tantrum that you are throwing?"
"Taehyung -",Jin started,warning the younger but Taehyung did not listen.

"If there is something going on between you and me,just spit it out!! I can't walk around on egg shells whenever I am out on a date, thinking about what you'd be doing and where you are"

Yoongi threw a glance at Namjoon,who pushed his tongue into the hollow of his mouth.
Jimin looked between his hands,feeling terrible.Taehyung lightly pushed his shoulder,"Why are you doing this,Jimin? Why are you purposely hurting everyone"

For that,Jimin finally stood up and pushed Taehyung.The younger stumbled back,"Fck you, Tae!"
And then Jimin walked away,before Taehyung could follow,Hoseok stopped him.
"His father died, Taehyung"

The silence that followed was deafening, Taehyung felt like shit.He was such a horrible friend.Yes,Jimin wasn't very close with his father since he walked out of his life when Jimin was 14 years old.Only months ago,he had come back in town and tried to reach his son.Jimin had denied meeting him,finally on Jin's push ,had met him for a few while.His father was sick,was counting his days and he wanted to make things right.Despite all the hatred Jimin held,he was ready to give his father yet another chance.They had only started.And so soon it had ended.Taehyung watched as Jimin sobbed from the other end of the park.

"You guys leave,I'll take him home",Hoseok said and the others nodded.
"Hyung,let me-", Taehyung started.
"For all the shit you have done,You bet I'll let you..Everything that happens in his life is not about you, Taehyung.If you are thinking about him while on a date,why is it his fault",Hoseok had stepped forward and Jungkook sensed the tension.He pulled Taehyung along with him.Once back in the car, Taehyung finally broke down.

Taehyung send few texts and mostly kept himself away for the next two days.He wanted to go sit on Jimin's front porch but Hoseok would skin him alive.And it was Jungkook who called him to let know of the funeral rites.Taehyung arrived quiet early and saw Jimin sitting alone his aunt.Suddenly the world seemed grey, Taehyung wanted to leave.He didn't even deserve to stand infront of Jimin.Jimin looked up right at the moment,they held their eyes with each other for a while before Jimin excused himself and walked over to him.
"The others are not here,yet",Jimin said,blankly.He had been crying,his eyes looked tired with bags underneath them.Taehyung doubted if he had atleast one meal since he had heard the news.
"I came for you", Taehyung found himself muttering,causing Jimin to look up at him.
Taehyung cautiously took Jimin's hand inside his and the latter let him,as if to see what more Taehyung had to say.
"I am sorry,Jimin"
"It's not a big deal,it's not like I liked him or anything.I just have to stand here and accept the respects as his friends come..what every son would do",Jimin gestured behind him absend mindedly.Taehyung could easily feel the subtle pain in his friend's voice
"It's not what every son would do,Jimin",He said.
Jimin had confusion etched on his face and Taehyung let out a breath,"This is not what every son would do..He walked out on you,Jimin and yet you were ready to open your heart again to him when he returned.You were ready to put yourself in his shoes and see.Maybe you really did not like your father,but it's not about him that am talking.It's about you..At the end of the day,you let your kindness win.And Jimin, that is not what every sons can do..I wouldn't have done it..It takes more than just a good heart to stand here and do this...I am so sorry,Jimin.You don't deserve any of this"

That's when Jimin finally broke down,sure he spend tears before but the reality hit him full swing.He had not been able to tell anybody how he felt for the past few days,even when Hoseok and Jin took turns to stay by him.Jimin simultaneously hated and loved how Taehyung undid his heart,just like that.Taehyung pulled him into his chest as he cried.

"It..It feels like I do not deserve to be loved, Taehyungah..I thought,I thought Dad had a reason.All my childhood,I..I believed that Dad left because he didn't like me...I cried myself to sleep thinking he doesn't love me and now years after,he just..he just comes back and says he did a mistake..Am I a fool to let him back in? Am I a fool to open my heart to people who won't stay?Why did he had to go a second time, Taehyungah...Don't I deserve to be loved,just a little...I do not even know him properly yet,but I already miss him"

Taehyung realized that he was crying too.He wiped his tears away before hugging Jimin right,"Jiminah,you'll have me..I'll always stay"
Jimin did not reply but he just shook his head into Taehyung's chest.Speaking without actually speaking of those hundred arguments and numerous dates that Taehyung had come back, irritated.

'I couldn't just play games in the arcade with that girl while you are sick'

'Do you think I am a shit to be on a dinner while you are having your first recital of the season?'

'I had to take the girl home because you have an exam and I was worried if you'd fall asleep without finishing your modules'

Taehyung withdrew from Jimin as a new revelation hit him.It was never Jimin,the cause of his failed dates.

'if you are thinking about him while on a date,why is it his fault?', Hoseok's voice echoed in the far corner of his head.

"Oh..", Taehyung said,and Jimin's eyebrows furrowed,tears slowly drying up on his face.
"What?"
"I think am in love with you,but that can wait", Taehyung said as he pulled the elder to hug again but Jimin denied,"What did you just say?"
"All those dates,all those stupid shit I been doing is because you were not bothered..Wait,i am not blaming you,am actually blaming me cause like Jin hyung says I cannot ever sort out my feelings,let alone make sense with words..I am a lost cause but I am sorry..I am sorry ,I hurt you but I love you..Did it make sense?"

Jimin's mouth fell slightly open,and he shook his head.
"That's okay,What I meant is you deserve to be loved and if you'd let me..if you'd let me,I'll show you how everyday and the rest of my life"
"Don't play with me"
"I am not..I would never", Taehyung cupped Jimin's face into his palms and kissed his forehead.
"I am sorry for being a douche"

And then Jimin finally smiled,going on his tiptoes to press a kiss on Taehyung's cheeks.
"I am such a stupid person.I want to make everything right", Taehyung said.
"For now,just be worried about how you are going to explain all this to Jin hyung and Hoseokie hyung"
For that, Taehyung sulked and hung his head,only to be hugged by his boyfriend.
