Shame and secrets:Part III

Jimin cried all night into his pillows.He ignored the manic ringing of his phone and just cried and cried until he was finally tired and fell asleep.The next morning came down heavy on his eyes making them puffy and red.When he got to the company,everyone looked at him concerned and he passed a smile to them before heading to their meeting room where he was called up.Jimin was expecting an interrogation of sorts by the big man himself but when he got there,he was surprised to hear that he had gotten collaboration deal with Taeyang.Jimin was indeed on the cloud nine and he pulled his phone out to dial the only person he wanted to share it with.His thumb froze over the screen as last night came tumbling down his mind and Jimin sighed heavily,before putting the phone away.

As soon as he went down to the practice room,everyone immediately applauded when he entered.The news might have spread fast already.He respectfully bowed at them in gratitude and walked towards his members.Hoseok was the first one to reach him and pull him into a hug.
"I'm proud of you",Hoseok said,patting on his back and Jimin was smiling wide as he was hugged by Jin right after.The others followed and Yoongi even gave him a half hug,exclaiming loudly about how Jimin's level is totally different now.Jimin came to a halt when he came face to face with Taehyung and before he could step away, Taehyung pulled him into a tight hug.Jimin's hands stayed limp as Taehyung whispered,

"I know this is a very big deal for you,it is for me as well..I am so happy for you,You will do amazing"

And the space fell between the two,followed by loud cheers but everything fell deaf on Jimin's ears.Jimin just stared at him and Taehyung let go completely.Jimin hooked a finger under Taehyung's bracelet and sighed,"I..can we talk.. actually talk?"

Taehyung nodded and Jimin excused himself before pulling Taehyung into the nearby dressing closet.Taehyung watched as Jimin left to the back of the closet to squat down.There was silence that stretched through the space between them and Taehyung watched Jimin gather his thoughts as he patiently waited.

"Taehyung,Tell me..Tell me what do I do?",He let out a breath so shaky and Taehyung knew Jimin's resolve was breaking down.Jimin was at his edge.Taehyung swiftly walked over to him and knelt to his side,"Don't think too much,you'll do amazing..You'll do great.I know he is your role model and it's your dream come true but face it,you are awesome yourself-"

Taehyung came to a stop as he saw Jimin's soft eyes looking up at him,"What is it,Baby?", The endearment casually slipped out and before Taehyung could correct it,Jimin had moved closer to him.Taehyung could not ever deny a hug Jimin asked.

"I am scared",He whispered down Taehyung's neck.
"It's okay to be scared,Jiminie.It's okay to feel this way", Taehyung offered,his hand rubbing on Jimin's nape, calming him down just right.
"Taehyung"
"Mm?"
"I thought about us a lot last night-"
"Jimin,let's not do this today..I don't want to ruin your day-"
"No..listen",Jimin crossed his legs to sit on the floor with Taehyung still kneeling over him.

"I love you, Taehyung.Nothing can change that,I have you always in my mind..Even when I am very angry with you,I lose my resolve just like that when you show up..It is toxic even how I surrender when it comes to you.I stood infront of my door to change the code of my door for hours but Tae...How can I? It's always been your birthday,how could it ever not be!",Jimin fisted his hand and punched lightly on Taehyung's chest one time.And another.The younger caught the hand and kept it close to his heart.

"I do not know what to do with us.I could not even remember who I was before you came into my life.Taehyung,let me down slowly,please.I could not...I tried but I could not even change that bloody code cause I will always want you to come.I will always want you without a second thought"

Taehyung sat back,feeling defeated,feeling his own walls crumpling down along with Jimin.He gave a sad smile before speaking,"I always end up hurting you even while trying to save your heart but you always look past it just because it is me.Jimin,it is not fair to you"
"Then make it fair for me..Just tell me why you didn't come and then I'll get myself some closure",Jimin wiped his tears on the back of his hand as he asked again,"Why didn't you come-"

"I came"
"What?!"
"I was there,Jimin", Taehyung's glance was fixed onto the floor where his hands picked the loose fallen threads of Jungkook's  outfit,"I got there early cause I was so excited for our date but then...but then I was trying to come to you and people said stuff"
"What stuff,Tae?"

"It was valentine's,Jimin.People saw you out with flowers and I...I got scared that they will find out about us.I tried a lot but I just couldn't come through and get you,I am a coward..I should have walked into that crowd and took you home but I was frozen,I was...", Taehyung trailed away,painfully reliving the moment and Jimin let out a sad laugh.Taehyung's tears fell over Jimin's knees and Jimin traced lightly over it.He wiped off his own tears before looking up at Taehyung.
"Am I your secret? That you never want to tell anyone?",Jimin pressed a hand against his head.
"No,that's not-"
"Are you scared people will find that you are gay?"
"Jimin, No-"
"Then what is it!!?"
"They won't be nice to you,Jimin.They weren't nice to you when they found out you were waiting for someone on valentine's.I am not brave enough..I am not enough to protect you..You need someone more brave,more strong to-"
"Kim Taehyung,I can handle my own fcking heart!If you dare try to push me to Eunwoo again,I swear to God!",Jimin pushed Taehyung and he stumbled backwards.
"Jimin!"
"No,you listen!! I am not a child,I know what I was getting into and nothing mattered as long as I had you but it doesn't matter..none of this matters if you are going to act like a saviour,acting all okay while someone holds my hand and still coming back cause you just can't "
"I can't,yes! I am ruined by my own indecisive mind.Jimin,I..", Taehyung stepped forward to cup Jimin's face,his eyes shuttling between Jimin's grey ones and he closed his eyes tight.Taehyung dropped his hands and stepped back,"I want you..I have only ever wanted you.I assume I will be okay when I let you go but when I do, it..it feels like you're a mine am stepping on.The moment I walk away..the moment I move a step away,I burst into flames.I just become nothing,nameless,noone.."

Jimin just watched as Taehyung came to him again,cupping Jimin's face in his hands.He pressed a kiss right between his eyebrows,"I love you so much,Jimin.I heard you cry all night yesterday,I sat outside your door.I heard you near the door and prayed you'd never change the code...Never change the code"

Taehyung's thumb caressed over Jimin's cheeks one time and he pressed their foreheads together,"God,I love you,Jiminah..Baby,I am so sorry for not being enough"
Jimin's hand came to hold Taehyung's hand on either side,tilting his chin up to press his lips against Taehyung's and they stood there for a moment.Lips pressing and breaths fanning against each other's skins.
"You're enough..You're more than enough.You are all I ever need,just right..perfect like this",Jimin kissed the youngest once more.

Taehyung stepped back and sighed heavily,"I am going to do something,a small step to acceptance.I want you to know whatever I am feeling is not because am insecure about us or that I love you any less"
Before Jimin could ask what, Taehyung stepped out of the room pulling Jimin along.He gave Jimin a smile before calling for everyone's attention.

"I have something to say.. actually show", Taehyung said to the room and Jimin's eyes widened as Taehyung pulled him close infront of the whole crew, staff and their own members causing Jimin to fall against the younger's chest.

"Tae..What-"
"Close your eyes,baby.This is our core memory in making", Taehyung said as he kissed Jimin square on his mouth and all the gasps, cheers and whoops turned into background noise all at once.
There was only Jimin and his soulmate so he kissed him back fiercely,the core memory should count after all.
